Waking Up Dead || Seth and Adrianna
Adrianna awoke in an unfamiliar room, lights out and the coldness of the night floating in the room. Her mind was in a daze and she felt as though something sharp had made it's mark on the back of her head. She couldn't hear much except for the pounding of her heart and her loud and rapid breaths that were muffled by the piece of cloth tied tightly around her mouth. Where was she? Quiet tears began to fill her eyes as she soon realized that her body was completely restrained to a chair by thick ropes that seemed impossible to cut through. All she could think about was the last thing that had happened prior to her accident.
The young girl, the older guy who was her father, and the crowd of people surrounding her rapidly replayed in her head, over and over again. She felt like screaming. She felt as though that scream would somehow help the situation, that it would magically bring her back home. But really, it wouldn't do to much with that thing around her mouth.
Through her heavy breathing and her tears, Adrianna barely noticed that there was another occupant in the room. He was restrained to a chair behind her and the two chairs restrained to each other. It seemed like something out of a movie, one of those torture scenes. But it wasn't, it was real life. Adrianna tried her best to calm herself, she took deep breaths and once she began to calm down a little, she could hear sniffling coming from whoever was behind her. How long had he been awake? Who was he? She became panicked again, her soft breaths turned heavier and more rapid by the second. She needed to get out.
