It is not 100% foolproof but I find it a mostly safe space, and I like how i can continuously tailor things to my interests and comfort levels etc as i change. Also this is the closest thing I have to screaming into a void sometimes, and occasionally the void screams back; it’s a cool outlet.

Oh boy, this certainly is a dilemma. BUT!! If I am to judge simply from the things you wrote on each, it certainly seems that you are happier with the second option. Even though you claim it isn't as "official" as the other school, the animation field does tend to prefer experience over just a flashy degree (as does mostly anything, honestly). If you're in a school which makes you happy, you are sure to crank out better material & be successful.

Well, it’s specially the demo reel thing, which apparently the first school doesn’t focus on it at all, that’s a little scary to me because it’s hard for me to get started on anything on my own, i can improve on it eventually, but to do it all from scratch without school pressure/motivation is very hard.

I still am going to visit the first school again, because the lady attending me honestly looked like she had no idea, it felt kinda rude, so i’m trying again there.

But for now i am biased towards the second, specially because i like 2D better than 3D personally -i am not a “i wanna be on disney/pixar/dreamworks” movie dream kind of person, i always wanted to focus mainly on TV, which is still pretty 2D oriented because it looks better for cheaper.

It’s just, the degree, it scares me to go through it and then have put myself some a barrier if employees look into those things. Thanks for the opinion!
