Moon Setting at Dawn on the Central Oregon Coast
Suspended between the sun and the moon
On the water oner recent morning, I saw the sun rising in the eastern sky as a full moon was setting in the west.
It was almost as though I was suspended between Monday and Tuesday, floating in a moment that belonged to neither day.
It occurred to me that dividing time into 24-hour chunks is a human invention; in nature, time is seamless.
