One of the most stressful things about being the oldest child is having to "set the example" all the time to the point youre not allowed to show your feelings in case it sets a bad example.

What do Boricuas do in space? We feed people! I love that A.J. Rivera is playing his own culture, and doing it well. Puerto Rican culture (my culture) is one that takes food very, very seriously. For us, it’s an expression of love, and if you ever go to a PR’s house, expect to be fed… a lot! That’s just how we are. Zayn giving Bernie the sparkly anime eyes and Bernie returning them is an added plus. They are an example to all of us in the LGBTQ+ community that we must strive to be better to each other, kinder to each other, because when we are, the result is beautiful.
It’s cliche to state that actions speak louder than words. However, it is the absolute truth. How many have worked or been in an organization where things are said, but the actions do not back it up? As a leader, owe it to those you manage, supervise, or lead to be honest and to always set the example. If you have certain expectations, be sure to adhere to them yourself. Set the example for others to follow.
A teacher and leader can always be producing a lesson. That is, in order to be successful, do as I do. Every day will be a lesson for those who look to you for leadership and as an example. If you ask for others to follow a higher standard that you are not following, your influence and ability lead will be diminished.
I find it best to not just point someone to the direction of knowledge and deeper thought, but try to set the example. If I’m a solid leader, who has vision and thinks about the big picture, or what lies ahead, those who depend on me, or look to me as an example, will see an example to follow. Perhaps they’ll do things differently, and that’s perfectly fine. As long as everyone strives to improve and grow.

What I love on Grey's Anatomy is how Callie Torres is seen as a hot, sexy, gorgeous woman and she isn't a size zero. It really sets an example for girls that aren't comfortable with their bodies and says as long as youre confident, you will be loved
