[6:29 pm] “Maeji, slow down baby you might fall!” Seokmin chuckles as he was letting his daughter tug him down the hallways in the hospital to where your room was in order for her to meet her new baby brother. 

“I want to meet him~ Daddy is he cute?” She giggles softly slowing down a bit, only to pick up where she was before into little skips into her steps.  

“Very cute darling, but we have to be very quiet when we go in the room, okay? Mommy and Minho are sleeping because they’re sleepy.” He says gently as she nodded still skipping in her steps while holding her father’s hand.

Seokmin felt like he had just won the lottery the day he found out that he was having another child, and the reality of it was hitting him as he took Maeji down to your hospital room where you and your son were.

He definitely had your nose, he thought, when he first saw Minho.

By the time that the two individuals had made it back to your hospital room, he noticed that you were holding Minho close into your arms. He smiles to himself and leaned down to pick up Maeji into his arms, placing her on his hip before walking over to you quietly as he watched the small baby look around in wonder.

“Maeji wanted to say hi to Minho.” He whispers as he gives her a view of her mother and newborn brother. 

He watches her eyes glimmer in excitement as she quietly squealed before holding out her hand gently to touch her brother’s cheek. She giggles to herself in amusement as both you and Seokmin knew that she absolutely adored her brother already, not worrying about how she was going to react in the future years into her childhood.

“I love him already, Mommy. Let’s bring him home today!”

It's never wrong to put yourself first

From the moment he stepped on the stage at Jakarta, the brief shot of his face in the midst of their intense opening performance of Getting Closer, I felt anxious.

I let it slide for a moment, not wanting to ruin my concert experience with unnecessary worries but the longer he stood on stage, the more I felt like this was not it.

He was not feeling well and the humid hot weather was not the only reason for it. He continued on, missed out a song in the middle but came back again for Chilli. My eyes were on him all the time and it was heart wrenching to see him miss a beat, forcing his smiles and just no longer enjoying his time on stage.

Then the announcement happened and he left in the middle of the concert.

Yesterday, Pledis finally released a statement that he will be taking a break from Seventeen's activities.

It was a relieve, for all of us.

I sincerely hope he gets what he truly needs. Emotional support from his family, professional help and to be away from the spotlight that has become such a burden for him.

But my biggest hope is for him to never feel guilty for his decision to check out in the middle of his group's most intense schedule to date. The members will always need him heck we as fans need him too, but right now what he needs is to be away for the sake of his own well being.

To put himself first.

Stay strong Seungcheol and take care.

Bad Timing

Seungcheol and Jeonghan went to the same university

Dong-ah Institute of Media and Arts in Seoul Korea

Seungcheol studied Music Production and Jeonghan studied Visual Productions

their freshman year, they met in a freshman seminar

from across the room, Seungcheol caught Jeonghan’s eye

Something about him made Seungcheol feel a certain way

right after midterms, they finally met and exchanged numbers

staying in contact through social media (you know, when you just kinda like each other’s posts and comment, but never actually hang out…. millennial/Gen Z friendships?)

it was not until their last year that they decided to go to the library and study together

that later ended up as an all day date

And honestly, neither one of them studied that much

little by little, they begin to fall for each other more and more

Both wanted to deny it

But anyone who saw them together that they were meant to be

graduation was approaching so they dove into a relationship

Maybe a little bit too fast

a few nights before graduation, they laid in bed together

they had to talk about something they were pushing off

the future

with Jeonghan moving Busan for a job

and Suengcheol staying in Seoul to continue his studies

they knew that their relationship will not last much longer after graduation

They both have been in past long distance relationships

Both ended in a mutual ending

they craved to spend every moment together

Always touching each other- holding hands, hands on side, feet touching under the table, etc

the distance would kill them before the relationship

but this is the wrong time Jeonghan finished his sentence as they hold each other closer

A few days after graduation

they spent one more night together

before parting separate ways

maybe later in their lives, when the time is right

the stars will align

And the universe will settle
