So what could come out more fascinating than to imagine Penelope Pitstop, our gal of action, going into snorkelling getup and wearing herself off some remote Polynesian reef, finding fascination and friendship among dolphins whose own fascination for ourselves naked can't help but be all the more evident?

Elbow pads. Knee pads. Shin guards. Plenty of replacement parts handy. First aid kit. And a sense of humour as can seep into their inline skating escapades. Such is the Skatebirds' attitude--as in Knock-Knock, Satchel and Scooter; who else could it actually be?

Further experimentation here, fellow Hanna-Barberians, into poetic form and nuance using a seven-line form. What do you think here?

Thank you, Myra mouthed at him. She knew he understood without more. 

Thank you for bringing Zev to me when I needed him most. Thank you for watching out for our family. Thank you for your big heart.

Firmus nodded, understanding they needed privacy and he moved back out to the corridor.

Zev scooted closer so he could unfold from his crouch and seat himself beside her.

“I have you, Mom,” he whispered. “Rest.”

Myra closed her eyes.

Thanks for the tags @heartofspells and @mundrakan <3 Here's 7 lines from the next chapter of Wilder than Mountain Thyme. This story will be completed next week so now is the time to catch up 👀

Instead he forced himself to stay still, his hand settling at the doorframe as if preventing Remus to step inside even though the other man had made no sign to move. Sirius straightened his back, raised his jaw slightly, schooling his face into the haughty mask of indifference he perfected as a child.

He could see Remus’ expression fall slightly, could see him drawing his shoulders back, and something hot and regretful twisted in Sirius’ chest.

“What do you want?” he asked, voice clipped, forcing his voice to be perfectly even and he was relieved to find that’s how it came out.

“I–I– can I– is– can I come in?”

Remus voice wavered slightly, and the way he stumbled across the words made Sirius ache but he set his jaw.

“I thought you didn’t want to see me,” he replied coolly.

Thanks for the tags @horseshoegirl! I've been tagged to share seven lines from a WIP. Here is a bit from Chapter 1 of You Are My Soulmate!

The stranger leaves his hands on your waist for several long moments. You're barely breathing. With each shallow breath you take, you can feel the heat of his big hands searing into your skin. You can see the flashes of gold in his whiskey eyes this close to him. 

You feel this intense urge to kiss him and are slightly surprised. Your mark containing your soul's physical features and song is checked off, but you're still unsure if he's your soul. But you desperately want to kiss this cocky, gorgeous stranger. You feel this intense ache to feel his mustache press against your skin and numb your lips as he kisses you wantonly, urgently.

These are from Project Aria...

Viande’s all about mechanical security. She says it's more of a challenge for anyone wanting in. With standard locks, you need an implant that’s registered to the entry system and it’s not too hard to trail someone to where they need to be to get scanned. Anything with physical ID tech, all it takes to get through is the right person’s hand or eye. Pretty much everyone has at least one of those and they don’t even have to be attached when you’re using them. But pure hardware? You need the tools to break it open, but more than that, you need to know what you’re doing and most people don’t.

“I know about them,” Lin said, but he didn’t look any less determined. “Show me what to do.”

David sighed. This was probably going to get him killed, but he didn’t want to admit defeat. Not yet. “Okay. All right. Let me show you how to set a basic one.”

Seven Lines

I was tagged by @winterandwords to share Seven lines in a WIP and tag seven people. Yay first tag game!

This is from the second chapter of my novel, The Stolen Heir (shut up the title is a work in progress).

Rob stood on the deck, overlooking the woods behind the O’Brien’s house. It was hard to believe it had been two days since he had become a ward of the O’Briens. The morning after he’d arrived, Matthias had pulled him and Alistair aside and told him that Amanda had been fired from her job because of the incident and while they were working on a restraining order, for now, Rob wasn’t going to leave the Estate without an adult. Normally Rob wouldn’t care about leaving. More time to play video games with Alistair and the twins, but being told he couldn’t, he didn’t like that. Then on top of that, he was nervous about tomorrow. Tomorrow he’d be meeting his dad for the first time. It led to him standing on the deck, even at night, just to get some fresh air. He wondered what his dad was like.

Abner shifted in the uncomfortable silence that fell over their table. “I threw my phone at him.” Both men turned to stare at him. Abner tried not to shrink under their combined gazes. “It whacked him in the forehead.”

Ben broke first with a laugh. “I would love to have seen that.”

Even Xavier let a small, amused smile slip onto his face.
