What makes innies human? Are they human from birth? Or are they human when they start having real life experiences and developing relationships? If they’re human from birth then what do we think about Helly and Mark killing Gemma’s innies? The fact that rescuing Gemma would be killing Ms Casey is never brought up by anyone in the MDR team despite the fact that they knew her and interacted with her. Ms Casey is 107 hours old so yes she’s young but if we estimate Helly is about a month old. Working 40 hours a week for four weeks that’s 170 hours. And everyone in MDR would think twice about killing Helly. But she’s only 66 hours older than Ms Casey. What makes her more superior and more likely to be considered human? Do those sixty hours make a difference? Or is it Helly’s relationships? Is it relationships that make you human? The innies in Mammalians Nurturable were fond of Ms Casey does that count as a relationship? Does that make Ms Casey human? What is it?
