It was raining softly as Christine jogged along the path. She loved rain like this...soft, warm and pleasant. She and her fellow crew had had precious little of pleasant things lately. She had chosen to beam down to San Francisco proper and jog through a park near Headquarters rather than run laps in the onboard gym. 

She was very surprised to see Dr. McCoy sitting on a bench as she rounded a corner. As she got closer, she noticed he looked sad. In all the time she’d known Leonard McCoy, the only time she’d seen him like this was when Captain Kirk had nearly died repairing the warp core. That was understandable given that the two men were best friends. She herself had been highly upset when the Captain and Mr. Scott had half dragged her own best friend Carol Marcus into sickbay. 

Slowing to a walk, she veered off the path and stepped over to the bench where Dr. McCoy sat alone. Tears came to her eyes as she crouched down in front of him. There were so many things she could have said but she was afraid of getting tongue tied and sounding like an idiot. So she leaned in and kissed him softly on the mouth and hoped he understood what she was trying to say.

So, I was a photo store once, and they had a bunch of picture frames on display, right? Well, the biggest frame, instead of having the standard default photo in it, had a picture of Pike. I laughed. I don't know why I'm telling you this.

Extremely. They may be directed at you, but the rest of us have to listen to them. Kind of hard to get any work done when all you do is groan every five minutes.

[ i hope it was clear that the starter call i made was for the roswell verse only!! there were three of you that liked that aren't in that verse. so i will just make a regular thread for those three, and the others will be for roswell.
