Uhura had been on leave for a while after news of her father reached her ears. She heard the door to her apartment open and she wasn’t expecting anyone anytime soon. She was due to be returned to the Enterprise in four days time.  Seeing Spock come in and they shared an apartment right now she looked down, “Spock don’t do that..”She said as she put her phaser on the couch again. “What…What are you doing here …aren't...I thought the Enterprise resumed its mission nearly a month ago?”She wondered curiously.  Personally she thought she was doing fine with her fathers death so expectantly … The memorial service and the funeral were a day and a half from tomorrow. She still hadn't visited her mother yet but she thought she might.

Unexpected Situations || Spock

On board the Uss Enterprise…things couldn’t have been more hectic.  Their day to day experiences were exciting and new and fun to experience. But it came a time where you just get tired and a yearning for home starts to appear.

Her father was in Star Fleet along with her.  She had heard from an officer on the bridge that she had recieved an message for her, classified as urgent acceptance by sender.  She looked at the messenger as she took her padd and got the message.  Leaving with out permission she went to her room and shut the door.

-Start Message-

Miss Nyota Uhura…We are sorry to inform you that your father Captain Lin Uhura was killed in the line of duty two days ago.  Due to your current location onboard the U.S.S Enterprise, we request that you return to be at the memorial service for your father if you are able to return from your duties. If not, take care and be safe.

-end message-

She tried to ask for more information but there was an investigation currently being conducted and she went to the table as she started to feel faint.  This was becoming to much at the moment.   Putting a hand on her forehead she was usually calm and composed.  She wanted answers. But they were light years away from earth right now.  Unable to return home anytime soon due to the five year mission they were undergoing.

Her father was shot in an mission off world. how….what ..why…. She couldn’t put the words together at the moment as she put her PADD on the bed. This was something she didn’t need.

Nyota pushed her papers she had on her desk off of them in anger that her father had ..or that there wasn’t information available further as to what transpired on that day…She had to find out…she had to find the party responsible.

But her duties here…”Damnit”she said as she leaned against the wall and put her head back against it sliding to the ground hugging her knees and putting her head down crying softly.  Who knows if they would  return in time.  They were at least a years distance away at their warp speed level.  

Their next break from the mission was in a years time.  How could this be happening …everything was spiraling out of control. Startled, Nyota jumped as she heard  a voice on the com system as she said “Enter”

Violet watched as Carolyn ran out to the beach. She didn't quite like this sunny time of year, everyone was too exposed. In a year she would be fourteen and would return home to her parents. She may never see the Lorings again, though she had lived with them for as long as she could remember.

She was suddenly brought out of her thoughts by a pair of strong arms pulling her back, forcing her to the ground. Her Ankles suddenly felt held down as well, and she knew she was being attacked with soitos. She didn't scream, knowing the Lorings would help her. Instead she used her own soitos to push them away and break the restraints.

She jumped up and saw her assailant, a grown man with a look of such hate in his eyes it made her blood run cold. She closed her eyes and pushed her power at him, eyes glowing white. Such an attack would have been warned against in school, but Violet had never learned to control her powers. The man that hated her was vaporized on the spot.

At Thirteen Violet had just killed someone.
