Dirty Mind Toys ( 10 pictures )
Who made this toys must be a crazy bastard LOL , but made my day !
No problem! we love feedback, we are not like those big companies who don't listen to their users, we are a small young team with no investors whatsoever, so our main focus is in our users, and btw, if you are interested in sex education we also have another ongoing project, our website sexmind (dot com) is some sort of sexual wikipedia, so if you ever feel like adding an article or comment on the forums you are more than welcome :) check it out if you havent already ;)
>sexual wikipedia
yes
Thank you so much for your feedback, we are thinking on changing the "safer days" for "less fertile days" instead, because it is what is technically calculating. Also, we will add more info about this subject and make it more explicit on the app description. But you will see this issue addressed on the next versions we will release. We are sorry for any triggering phrasing we might have used, please let us know if there is anything else we can improve :)
Thanks for accepting feedback! It's rare to see that online. And it's okay, I wasn't triggered. I just worry about people due to the horrible way sex education is handled in schools. It's ridiculous.
Hello there! we read that you are concerned about our app misleading about its efficiency, we do state it clearly when you install the app, but you are right, some people may just click through without reading the big-ass warning, do you think a timer that makes you take a minute to read before accepting the terms would be a good idea? we can also add a new page on the Info section that expands a bit on the subject of rhythm methods. We would love to see your suggestions on how can we fix this.
I think the biggest problem is that the “safer days” to have sex are in there to begin with. There are too many ignorant people in the world who outright resist facts due to one piece of anecdotal information saying the contrary (I had a classmate tell me it’s okay to smoke while pregnant despite the warnings on cigarettes because her sister smoked all through her pregnancy and the baby “came out okay”).
The fastest growing part of the LBGT community is very young and has had very questionable sex education. The inclusion of “safer days” in this app, despite the warning, is sending a dangerous mixed message to people who you really can’t guarantee will know any better.
If you click into the box that lists the weight, you should be able to edit it as opposed to using the setting scale; this will enable you to put a weight in higher than 150 for the mcalc app. [:
Alas, when I tried that, once I left the text box, it reset it to 150.
I'm going to give the creators of the app the benefit of the doubt and assume that it was a programming oversight, and an unfortunate side effect of using a slider meaning that the data has to have a hard limit.
(Personally, I don't see why you would choose to input that sort of data via slider, anyways, except maybe that it looks cool or something? It's not like you're really talking about your height/weight/age as relative values to some known scale.)
(As someone who hit puberty relatively early, I'm also side-eyeing their lower age limit as being 14.)
ionicaq replied to your post “¦. Sigh. In general this app seems pretty buggy and it isn’t...”
Yeah, it is seriously buggy. Can't get the "set alarms" to function at all.
Yeah, same.
Considering that having the alarms on my phone was literally the only reason I decided to try it....
I'm just gonna go back to my old site for that. Which is perfectly good, really, I just never bothered trying to set up text message notifs so.
.... Sigh.
In general this app seems pretty buggy and it isn't intuitive, which is pretty crap when you're supposed to be a simple app.
Converted my metrics to metric to enter them, fine fine whatever. Annoying but not the end of the world.
Half the time it doesn't seem to recognize my taps.
Sigh.
It is a nice idea, but it really needed a bit more QA before being put to market.
