SF Chapter 5 Spoilers

Okay so I just realised:

In one of the notes there was mentioned that the cult was fault to a whole lot of kids getting killed years ago

The man with the Dog face who killed Sal's Mom and injured Sal probably was one of the cult members that was sent out to kill the kids that could be potentially threatening to them

Which means Sal was supposed to die back then cause they already thought of him as a potential threat

I may have almost cried when Ash cut herself to revive Sal but thank Jesus she wasn’t dead.

That almost tear may have come back with a vengeance when Larry said “You’re Sally Face! You’re perfect.”

Their friendship is fucking beautiful, romantic or platonic, you can’t deny it.

His ghost thing was hunched over a desk and we find the note beside his desk in the little stop-motion 3D puppet world and since ghosts in Sally Face seem to stay as they were when they died, that means hE DIED AFTER HE WROTE THE LETTER AND I’M JUST

Really really sad because we could’ve gotten to see Larry with a baby sister and it could have been adorable and she would have been so damn cute because just look at Larry and I need at least 5 years to get over this I’m fucking sad okay

i love Sally face so much, but why did chapter 4 feel more like an ending than chapter 5 did???

i guess i can finally give my opinion regarding chapter 5. under read more because y’know, some spoilers.

i know some people got disappointed with the way things ended and honestly, i can’t say i’m one of them.

for me, from the very beginning, sally face was never meant to make sense. the way it was built, forcing you to hunt down for details that’d easily go unnoticed unless you knew exactly where to look at, says that steve isn’t careless. for me, the game was meant to have loose ends, maybe leave an open space for (and just a wild guess here because of that damn epilogue) a sequel in the future. it was meant to punch you in the gut with everything going on. too much information, too little time to really understand what was happening -- because that’s exactly what the characters were going through.

they were running out of time. they had no reason to bother who built what or why. they needed to stop the cult, they needed to save their friends. everything else was irrelevant. during the previous chapters, they had the time to bother, to mess around, to poke and prod at stuff. and so did we. i’m satisfied with the ways thing ended, because for me, some things don’t need to be explained. some things just are. the question itself is, sometimes, more appealing than the answer. 

sure, i’ll keep my verses as they are now because canon is kinda limiting when it comes to rp (and i’ll probably adapt some stuff here and there regarding chapter 5 but i can’t say for sure yet), but steve did an amazing job.
