When did you start writing?

Technically speaking, as early as the first or second grade, but that was mostly limited to stories I wrote for school projects. The first fanfic I ever wrote, I started in grade three. I've always been drawn to creative writing, and would write stories in junior high (though I never finished any of them).

But for Lukanette fanfic specifically, I returned to creative writing in the spring of 2021 after a long break from it due to high school, university, and then a very busy work life.

5. What is your favourite trope to write for?

I have to admit, I'm a huge sucker for idiots in love 😂 That's why you'll see it in so many of my stories. There are lots of tropes I love to play with in my writing (too many to list), but that's definitely one of my favourites because of how many ways it can be twisted and adjusted to fit different characters.

18. Show us a piece of dialogue you really like.

This was a hard one because there are lots of pieces of dialogue that I love 😂 But I think I'll share little bit from chapter 17 of Juleka vs. the Forces of the Universe (does this count as six sentence sunday too? 😂)

“You’re such a sap, you’re going to make me ruin my makeup,” she mumbled, waving a hand in front of her eyes to keep them from tearing up. Once she was sure she wasn’t going to cry, she stood and hugged Luka tightly. He returned it just as fiercely. 

Once they broke apart, she smacked his arm. Lightly. Ish. “Why aren’t you ready yet, dummy?” 

He chuckled, shaking his head as he rolled his eyes. “I need to iron my shirt but I can’t find the iron anywhere.” 

“Check the greenhouse, last time I saw it Ma was using it as a door stop up there”

post-s5. the "nightmares" from monarch's last akuma don't actually go away completely. unable to explain them to their significant other due to secret identities, ladybug and chat noir develop a habit of calling each other to talk when they have a bad night. eventually they share what songs their parents used to sing to them when they were little and needed comfort and they start singing those for each other. (possible reveal potential if adrien or marinette hears the other one humming one of the songs one day)

🧠 What’s an idea you have that you can’t quite call a WIP yet?

There's a Reverse Robins AU slowly percolating in my head until I finish Gotham Academy because Maps is the first Robin in it. (Duke occupies a Batgirl-like outsider who Is Not Beholden To Batman role, but isn't Batgirl because he doesn't have the genderweird for it to me)

📚 Do you read your own fic?

I do! Especially the stuff I wrote for me and me alone.

💖 What do you like most about your own writing?

I like my ability to depict character emotions.
