that post about for-profit colleges is absolutely true, i went to a for-profit art school and graduated and now it’s closing, after basically failing in all it’s promises to almost everyone after charging ridiculous amounts for tuition. i worked extremely hard to get my degree despite numerous set-backs the school would not address (bad on-campus therapy, a thriving rape culture, favoritism and elitism in departments).
I am truly impressed (and a bit jealous) of the people who could really make it work after going to my school, they were working for themselves and focusing on their goals!
