I found a new place for food and wine in San Francisco! Ungrafted SF is part restaurant, part wine bar, with a great selection also of sake and beer. Located in a beautifully-designed space in San Francisco’s Dogpatch neighborhood, Ungrafted has a killer wine list. Of course, you would expect this given the identity of the owners - Rachel Fineman, a Master Sommelier, and Chris Gaither, who is 2/3 of the way to getting his Master Somm certification. You’ll find some classic, high-end wines on their list as well as very reasonable by-the-glass and bottle prices for those that aren’t quite ready for Château Pétrus. The food is impressive as well - inventive plates with fresh ingredients and interesting spices. Just a few blocks from the Warriors’ new stadium, Chase Center, this should be your go-to spot before games (or concerts). ——————————————————- My lunch partner-in-crime was Master Somm @evangoldsteinms and we tasted four of the wines that we import and sell: Stina Vugava - a white wine made from an indigenous Croatian grape that many believe to be the ancestor of Viognier. Saints Hills Pošip - another indigenous white grape from Croatia. Edivo Plavac Mali - a classic red wine from Croatia. Quinta da Ponte Pedrinha Reserva red blend from Portugal’s Dão region. I promise - we didn’t drink it all! There was some spitting. —————————————————— #sanfrancisco #sanfranciscofood #sanfranciscowine #sfwine #wine #winebar #wineandfood #wineandfoodpairing #ungraftedsf #dogpatchsf #croatia #croatianwine #winesofcroatia (at Ungrafted) https://www.instagram.com/p/B2rlwYLnvgL/?igshid=nfo7uq9cy4s6
