I feel like every week Supergirl Tuesday is just a reminder of all the things I love about this show.
Getting tired of Brainy’s character development --> 6x03 and 6x04 did a lovely job unpacking it Getting tired of Lena --> 6x02 and 6x03, hell yeah Not super into Dansen --> 6x03 gave them a host of wonderful scenes Feeling less inspired by Kara --> 6x02, 6x03, and 6x04 all had great moments of her bringing hope and light to a dark place Annoyed by the effects of Crisis --> 6x02 utilized it in an interesting way
Ok guys I know I say this every week but there is this little thing called suspension of disbelief and sometimes we use it because we would rather enjoy the thing than get annoyed picking it apart. Just a thought
I'm actually obsessing over the fact that we're going to get repressed gay teenage Alex in the next episode. In 3x07 we didn't get any gay because it was mainly about the sibling relationship and the murder plot, but this is PROM. More importantly, it's probably Alex's prom, because in the stills Kara and Alex look more like 15 and 17 than 17 and 19 respectively. To reiterate: it's probably Alex's prom. Which means we are most definitely getting a look into Alex's very, very confused teenage romantic life.
So they're most likely not going to do a crossover next episode but I love the idea of Nia and Brainy completely screwing the past up and the Legends on video call just like "don't worry this happens to us all the time, we'll coach you through it," bonus points for Ava having a breakdown over the Super Friends violating protocol in the background
(More realistically, I hope the Super Friends borrow a timeship for the episode! It would be easy to pull off and a nice nod to the fact that all the heroes are on the same Earth now.)
I'm legit so hyped for the next episode... from the promo it looks SO fun + brainy and nia focus + young alex and kara!! I'm so excited for all the legends of tomorrow level hijinks... extravagant costumes... nia and brainy trying to fit into the early 2000s... teenage Alex being gay and in denial...
