with the release of chapter two of visual novel in league and wild rift, it’s now confirmed that star guardian gwen who made her appearance in card game, legends of runeterra is canon. i do not know if the event in card game is similar to league and wild rift like visual novel or is it the same as path of champions, nonetheless, it's a good opportunity for jinx to shine and have character development.

in recent event, the previous leader of each team, lux and ahri have statues as appreciation and gratitude for saving the city from the invasion of twilight star. this created a speculation among the players that lux is dead but there are still no confirmation while the members were either retired, missing or dead. the visual novel in pc focuses on the new star guardians who still hide their identities and were approached by the twilight star, zoe and the star guardian syndra while in wild rift, star guardian xayah recruited senna, seraphine and orianna to save the fallen star guardian, rakan. with the promise of helping xayah, ahri and sarah follows and watches over them.

so if the event in wild rift and legends of runeterra are canon then we can assume that the previous teams have decided to split and pursue their own agenda.

jinx can be described as selfish and used her powers as more than a plaything to serve her own interests but she's fiercely loyal and have a furious, burning desire to keep her loved ones out of harm's way this event shows that this desire extends to her fellow team members and other star guardians and performing willingly of her duties as star guardian. lastly, together with soraka (odd pair) who are on a mission and stumble on gwen, one of the very first star guardians, who's been trapped in statis, all alone in outer space, not knowing what has become of her friends.
