For Farewell to Supergirl Week, Day 4 - Alternate Universe, figured I’d bring back my incredibly self-indulgent Star Wars AU. Most of these have already been posted, but I found a few drawings/sketches that have been sitting in my ‘in-progress’ folder for literal years. XD

Whenever I have spare time, I chip away a little bit at my Supergirl/Star Wars thing, which involves, at this point, trying to get some finished-ish character designs for all the major players, as well as ironing out the LORE. XD
If Kara was a Jedi, after her fight with Red Daughter do you think her lightsaber would turn purple? Some lore says lightsaber crystals can change color but idk. I also low key want to know if I’m the only one who sees Kara with a purple light saber.
You’re not alone on the purple lightsaber thing! And I like the idea of the color changing after the Red Daughter showdown, yeah! It’s a cool concept. :D

Kara and KR-P-20 from a set of SG/SW storyboard...sketch...things? that I will most likely NEVER FINISH because WORK and whatnot.
Hey! I love your SG/SG cross-over idea. Just wanna know your thought process cuz I always pictured the SG cast more as the New Trio. I had pictured Kara as Rey so seeing her in a flight suit was an interesting concept. Your artwork is amazong btw. Hope you have a nice day!

Well first and foremost, thank you, very glad you like it! As for the thought process, admittedly, a big part of for-fun stuff like this is often: ‘this looks cool, I wanna draw it.’
And while that is...absolutely a big part of these sketches, there IS some story thought happening. XD It started with this post right here (shout-out to @insectoid5) and I sort of arbitrarily went with a Rogue One look for Alex because the film had just come out a few months prior and I had the artbook on hand.
So all of the sketches ended up kind of...situated in that time frame, and the ideas for what characters were doing/’plot stuff’ was largely informed by that film in particular. (Not necessarily a beat-for-beat match up, but. Broad strokes.) For example: Protagonist discovering that their family member(s) played a part in creating a big ol’ weapon.That sort of thing. (I’ll point folks to these two sketches here.)
Also suggestions from folks sometimes inform the sketches--though I’ll occasionally tweak them. I wanna say someone suggested the flight suit for Kara? Which I drew but I also have a blue version somewhere in my documents folder, because, as my icon might suggest, I like the blue flight suit. XD
And there we have it! Hope that all made sense!
