I just binged NCIS: Hawai'i and I'm so bitter it got cancelled. This show is so good and deserves at least 8 seasons.

#of course cbs cancelled the first ncis show with a majority non-white cast. woman as the lead. and same sex couple #because they're cheap and decided sydney is worth more because it costs them less #and for origins which no one asked for. i already don't like the idea of that cause #a) they're bound to make something happen that doesn't line up with ncis so it'll be retconning stuff or just make stuff confusing #and b) you can't continue to expand the ncis universe with this show in the past about a character we already know about.#Hawai'i gives us characters whose stories are current and who can impact the present #and i know cbs will never let another network acquire Hawai'i like they did for all rise #they'll never let another network have an ncis show. They want full control over their franchise.#can this show get the swat treatment? no idea. But I hope people and the cast/crew keep fighting for this show.#cause it deserves so much better than ending on what may be a cliffhanger tomorrow and will definitely be unresolved stories for everyone #also the audacity for cbs to have vanessa and the cast out there talking about how much they love being part of the franchise #and how important the show is during that 1000th ep stuff #only to cancel it not long after is just a shit move #use them for promo then axe them #ncis hawaii #ncis hawai'i #cbs #sgx

Did yall notice that in Dani’s flashback, everyone called her Danielle? Her mom, Eddie’s mom, even Eddie. But the entire time she’s in England and after she goes by Dani (or Poppins). There’s gotta be some meaning here on how the people in her life didn’t really know her and how she had to pretend to be someone she wasn’t. She had to go to another continent just to feel comfortable enough to go by her preferred name.

Since I was thinking of Jack, I love how she gives no fucks about the consequences of changing the future by killing bad people in the past. Like, she doesn’t really care that Olivia is a nice innocent person in the past. Olivia becomes THE Dracula aka the dark one. And Jack is like, yup I’m gonna kill her.

Whenever there’s time travel stuff, people always debate changing to much stuff in the past or whether it’s moral to kill someone who’s innocent in the past but will go on to do terrible things. I like those debates, but I also like Van Helsing being like “Jack will debate these things for 2 seconds and decide telling everyone about vampires and killing future evil people is the way to go”.

#it's just a nice change of pace #that i'm sure will come back to haunt jack #like ivory won't exist in the present if jack succeeds #and michaela is not concerned with jack killing olivia #it seems like her plans to bring back the dark one are only delayed #despite missing like 80% of the cast i really liked the first ep of the season #jack is a good lead #she's so tiny and full of fury #jack van helsing #van helsing #van helsing syfy #sgx

Jack might erase Ivory from the present

Just thinking about how before Jack went into the dark realm she told Ivory she hoped she’d be there when she got back and they were all cute and kissed and stuff. And now Jack is in the past and is set on killing all the vampires in Transylvania including Michaela and all the sisterhood.

If she does that then the sisterhood won’t exist later in time and Ivory will never be turned into a vampire by them. If Ivory stays human and never becomes a vampire, then Ivory won’t be alive long enough to meet Jack and she definitely won’t be there when Jack gets back to the present.

I love Jack, but she needs to give more thought on how ending vampirism in the past will change the present. Like, I get vampires are bad and kill a ton of humans and stopping them is a very good thing to do. But I like Ivory so this is a tough dilemma.

I’ve spent the past few hours rewatching Dark Matter and I’m so confused as to why syfy canceled this show. It was so good. The cast! The plot! The Zoie Palmer!

#syfy just doesn't know good tv #or they're just cheap and don't bother promoting shows so they can use low audience as a reason to cancel #look at the expanse! it's not like amazon is doing a lot to promote it but they are doing the bare minimum and it works #dark matter was a very good show with a great cast and great themes about found family #and questions about who you were/are and who you want to be and what control we have over the ramifications of our past #it deserved better #i've been reliving my past canadian tv shows (starting with lost girl) and i'm remembering how much i love zoie palmer #gotta start watching her new show that's on hulu #dark matter #dark matter syfy #sgx
