Quick question. Is there a reason why Alec and Izzy couldn’t draw an Iratze rune on that Circle member in 202 or did the writers forget that shadowhunters have those?
Also, a shadowhunter versus a mundane isn’t a fair fight. So no, I’m not impressed by Izzy kicking that guy’s ass, no matter how much bigger than her he was. He never stood a chance.
Last thing, Jocelyn is still a selfish, manipulative asshole, but I also blame Luke for the Adama thingy. He’s the one to proposes it to Jocelyn in the first place. I had forgotten about that.
Okay, two more things about 202. I could get on board with Clary pretending to care about Dot and deceiving her by promising a safe hideout. I could also get on board with Clary truly feeling for Dot and convincing her to help by promising a safe hideout.
But, because the scene was Dot opening up a breach in the wards and staying behind while Clary ignores her and jumps, I: 1. don’t know which one Clary was doing; 2. don’t understand what happened.
Second thing, what a silly angle on Alec’s face while he’s convulsing. Way to lose the tension of the scene. At least when they did this for the first time in 108, the closeups on Alec’s face were done well.
