Sh2-7 and the star Dschubba (δ Scorpii) // Gilmour Dickson
Dschubba (δ Scorpii) is a binary star system about 444 light years from Earth. The primary star is a blue subgiant about 13 times as massive as the Sun and over 8 times larger. The name comes from the Arabic phrase jabhet al-aqrab meaning “the forehead of the scorpion.”
