It's not easy for someone who always takes care of everybody, to let everybody take care of him. We are used to see Magnus strong, magical and charismatic, with his jokes and his sparks. Just, let me tell you maybe an unpopular thing: I loved this Magnus' side. Everytime I watch this scene, I empathize with him and his eyes down, so full of memories, sadness, but also desire of life. In my opinion, he doesn't lose his charm. Simply, he remembers us that an immortal too can have some wounds, hidden under too much years of hurts. And these wounds can heal only with his strength and the love of people he loves. So, thank you Alec for helping him, thanks for giving him one reason to not giving up. Love you, boys.

Claia in Shadowhunters Season 3 Episode 11 - Lost Souls

One random thing that I really appreciated about the episode is after Lilith tells Magnus that if his friends really cared about him they wouldn't have let him go I felt like Magnus had a moment where that really hurt him (and I know many of us had moments over the years where we felt Magnus wasn't appreciated enough) but then HIS LITTLE MISMATCHED FAMILY JUST RALLIED AND GOT HIM BACK. WILLING TO DO SO AT ANY COST, EVEN. ALEC AT THE FRONT. Of course. Alec who even goes a step further and says he'd stay in Edom with him if need be. AND later Lorenzo drives the point home AGAIN when he tells Magnus how even just seeing them all like that affected him.
