Simon taking out his anger over Wille being celebrated for kissing a girl out on Wille because it probably looks to him like Wille is now trying to conform to what’s expected of him. Wille looks like he’s starting to conform and Simon sees through the bullshit.

Felice is not a threat. You don’t love Felice. You love me. Fight for me. There’s a desperation in Simon’s eyes as he rips into Wille in the locker room and eggs him on; he can feel Wille pulling away and no longer fighting for them, and it makes him angry.

Despite trying to move on, despite trying to forget his feelings for Wille, deep down all Simon wants is for Wille to fight for them, and that’s why he panics so much when Wille finally starts moving away.

You told me you didn’t want to be who they want you to be and here you are doing exactly that.

Lisa saying that Simon’s anger over Wille’s kiss with Felice being announced at lunch was not because Simon is jealous or threatened by Felice but rather he was angry at seeing an act of “straightness” from Wille being celebrated and cheered about, as well as the obvious invasion of privacy.

Imagine how hurtful that was for Simon. Everyone in the school knows they’ve slept together but they were never once celebrated for it - in fact they had to keep it a secret - and now that Wille has gone and kissed a girl, suddenly it’s all slaps on the back and cheering and whooping.

okey so young royals s2! episode one sets nicely the tone for the season and opens up all the plot lines: simon and his feelings, willes feelings towards the monarchy and what his role means and august and sara’s weird situationship

gonna have to rewatch s1 and s2 of young royals to make a more in-depth post but like, after watching it for the first time, season two wasn’t what i was expecting
