an entire post about how i think shadangle is good, actually.
i may add some things later, so i put the actual post under the cut so that i dont have to make two different posts.
please dont yell at me about how tangle is a lesbian when she hasnt been confirmed as such. shes wlw-coded, yes, but that doesnt mean shes only attracted to ladies. and before im called lesbophobic: im a lesbian. i merely have a different headcanon than most people, and i want that respected.
i headcanon both tangle and shadow as bi. if you imagine tangle as a lesbian, just interpret this view of shadow as a he/him lesbian.
PROS of shadangle
shadow can keep tangle grounded.
compared to tangle, shadow is more level-headed and calm, and would be able to stop her from getting herself into serious trouble.
likewise, tangle can help shadow from risking life and limb for others. she may be a bit oblivious to how others feel (as is shadow), but she sure isnt oblivious when threatened with extreme harm or worse.
tangle could help shadow lighten up.
shadow seems to take things too seriously, especially due to his inexperience with modern life.
they would make a very interesting pair of adventuring buddies.
shadow has a rather nomadic nature, and tangle wants to live life and experience everything. together, they could see the world and experience new things.
theyd be able to calm each other down when one is, or both are, upset or heartbroken.
shadow could potentially have bad memories brought up again, and tangle could rush to his aid and try to help him focus on the present, trying her best to keep him present and calm.
if tangle were to have something happen to her that would hurt her significantly, shadow would be there to calm her down and let her know hes there. he might even hold her close and let her use his chest fur as something to cry into-
they would have genuine fun together.
CONS of shadangle
theyre both reckless when it comes to their own safety, which might lead to a lot of trouble for both of them.
shadow might get frustrated with tangles recklessness to the point of yelling at her, trying to get her to stop getting herself into danger because he wants her safe.
it gives off slight ‘manic pixie dream girl’ vibes. (at least for me)
