iciclekit leaves the nursery

"Come on, Iciclekit!" Shadekit called. "We're all here."

"She's taking her time," Quailblossom said, licking Iciclekit's head. "Don't rush her."

Quailblossom crouched next to Iciclekit. "Do you want to know a secret, fledgling?"

Iciclekit nodded, staring at the entrance to the nursery. She couldn't see outside, couldn't see where her siblings were gathered. Whitetail was watching them, and she knew she was holding everyone up.

"You can always come straight back here," Quailblossom said. "But no kit ever wants to."

Iciclekit squared her shoulders. "I'm going to leave now."

"Go on," Quailblossom said, purring, and Iciclekit pushed through the grass.

I saw that you had a mount, but do you have some animals as pets? For example we humans have cats or dogs, do you have some of these?

We’re currently taking care of 25 black kittens, a chinchilla, and an owl. A shadewing owl, not a bugle owl, just so you know. Runaan would never give me an owl I was uncomfortable around. And the black kittens are Runaan’s latest batch of assassins in training.

Apparently when I feel like doodling but have no real direction, I resort to drawing elves.  Except I only have one elf I RP, so I usually end up stealing other people’s elves.  I only stole one elf this time.

“Fox” - drug dealing, half-elf (human/Quel’dorei) NPC from Gin’s backstory. Shadewing - Fox’s thug, Kaldorei NPC from Gin’s backstory.  Shadewing is not fond of Gin...probably has something to do with her threatening to kill Fox on more than one occasion...details. Elliana - my Sin’dorei hunter that has no real story, but I’ve been considering making her one of Sylvanas’ Dark Rangers because I am Forsaken trash. Gavriel - adorable, smol, half-elf (human/Sin’dorei) child belonging to @brashtide-menace...I can’t child.

One day I will stop stealing other people’s elves to daw.

Hey Ethari I’ve heard that Runaan wants a owl maybe since he gave you that cute chinchilla you can get him a pet owl :D

Oh, that’s a lovely idea. I know the perfect one, too. There’s a Xadian owl called a shadewing. It’s black with the most amazing turquoise eyes you’ve ever seen. Well, except for Runaan’s. Oh, he’ll love it. Thank you!

*searches high and low across many Moonshadow villages until I learn of a young shadewing owl who needs a good home and carefully brings it back to the SIlvergrove on my Shadowpaw*

While getting each other animals is cute, you do know that owls eat chinchillas, right?

I think you’re underestimating Runaan’s training skills, love. He won’t let any harm come to my Lunetta, or to any of the kittens.

So that's an owl and a chinchilla. what other animals have you given Runaan as a present?

That’s it so far--although Runaan gave me the chinchilla. I’m new to the idea of giving creatures as gifts. But I’m all in because they’re living beings, and Runaan can always use more life in his life, if that makes sense, to balance being an assassin.
