HARRY POTTER AS A SHADOW FAIRY OF THE FALL COURT
"Heal the wounded, give rest to the suffering, and bring death to those who evade it." Here’s my entry for #CollabWithPoppen! This here is Thade, a fairy ranger (and one of my newest D&D character concepts) Lost in the Shadowfell at a young age, Thade was found and mentored by an ancient shadow dragon. Said dragon helped her adjust to her new barren environment and taught her the importance of the balance of light and shadow, life and death. With this knowledge and understanding, Thade decided to become an agent of equilibrium between life and death. She now roams the lands, nurturing life and getting rid of the undead that trouble the balance of life and death. This piece is also a DTIYS to celebrate me reaching 100 followers on insta! Check out #ShadowChloe100DTIYS to see my original post and the entries!
As always, my commissions are open! (available through DM, email, Ko-fi, and fiverr) Ko-fi, shops, socials, and support all linked here!
Concept art/model sheet under the cut!
Let's be real here, if you thought I was going to make it through the month without drawing at least one fairy OC, you were wrong. He’s had a couple redesigns since I made him, but Zekna’s actually one of the oldest OCs that’s going to be making an appearance this month. I think tomorrow’s character, Sotin, might be the only one who is actually older, and only out of a technicality.
Careful when dealing with shadow fairies. They might not look like much, but they are vicious little things. They form from the sentient shadows of neon lights and cloak themselves in the colours of halogen bulbs.
They feed on bits of light, using starlight or reflected rays of the early morning sun as a heart. After all, shadow can only exist if there is a light to cast said shadow.
Shadow fairies are mostly nocturnal, but not because they need the dark. They just enjoy the fear we humans have of it.
Not as planned, but then I didn’t plan anything anyway. d:
A draft I really like from the bus ride today.
