I have a new character concept in mind, one that takes a lot of inspiration from these anime tomboys in particular. I haven't got the design drawn yet, but I know what I want;

Cat Girl

Braids and Tail

Big eater, loves meat.

Hotheaded, loves to fight.

Martial Artist

Punch Girl

I think I'll call her Lygrah, or Lysha. I'll get the design down soon. I already have the backstory in mind.

My source for that was "Mike yc2201" on YouTube; while their format is specifically super strong anime girls, there are some findings that fit pretty well here too.

remembering renting this from my local video store for £1.50 in the 90s.

Moon light videos was the store. I can't remember if Blockbuster back then had a section of Manga videos.

Manga / anime wasn't mainstream back then.
