Just beat the Living Failures in The Old Hunters DLC with help from my boy Yamamura. (insert stale joke about a boss being named after me hahaha)
I can honestly say, no area, level, or even a complete horror game has ever unsettled and horrified me like the Research Hall. The nightmarish fates of the patients, the endless screaming, poor poor Adeline. It’s worse than any nightmare I’ve ever had. More terrifying that most horror games I’ve played. Just the raw misery and melancholy of the setting. And Simon the Harrowed’s dry bitterness at it all. A game has never moved me this way before.
Anyway, the Lady Maria murdered me seven way from Sunday by setting her blood on fire and I liked it. I think this has awakened something in me Why does she look exactly like my sweet Plain Doll?
Also does the Doll have a name outside of The Doll because I love her and hate referring to her as an object. I almost teared up when I found her praying for me.
