It was really a normal day. A day with nothing particularly special in it. Just a cold, clear evening. Patches of snow lay on the ground with several footprints within them. Cucumber was avoiding stepping in the little piles, hoping not to get his shoes too muddied after all.

So engrossed in his activity, he barely took note of the illuminated sky, and the hustle and bustle of new arrivals. It had become almost a normal routine at this point, though he did make a habit of checking the contacts for anyone he might know.

He had a lot of things on his mind. Nothing seemed to make sense to him about why he was here ( or why he was the only one here, Nautilus left. Carrot left. But... almond ) and there was no one else he knew here...

Did it just get... colder? And... darker?

A shadow loomed above him. It was a strangely familiar sensation... but no. No, it couldn't be-

"WHA?!!?!?!?!?" He shouted unceremoniously at the man ( terrifying, scary, really really scary ) "What are you doing here?!" The bunny was pretty defenseless all things considered. The last time he encountered the Nightmare Knight... it did not go well.

Throughout his life, Donald had met many kinds of folks of all kinds of lives. Maybe it was the result of his life slowing down, but he did find himself enjoying hearing about what others had done in their lives - though he knew some lives lasted longer than others.

On one such occasion, he found himself in the company of what looked like someone new. Actually, he knew it was someone new to Aevum - he'd definitely remember if he had seen a 10-foot-tall fellah in black-purple armor (... he assumed) around.

And yet he was surprised to be sharing a desert with him. He'd offered a cookie, and Donald accepted. Why not? Free cookie's a free cookie.

[ Oh boy, oh boy! This is real tasty! ] He commented after taking a bite. [ This has gotta be one of the best cookies I've ever had! Is that lemon flavor? ]

Maybe he should be more cautious about accepting random treats, but he was very happy munching away in ignorant bliss.

Lilith was rather minding her own business as she walked among the streets of merchant town. She was busily collecting food for herself and Myst so that they would have plenty of food for the next several days.

Lilith had been steadily improving her cooking skills with a new discovery of something called a "cookbook." She borrowed one from the library and was eager to try new recipes.

She was browsing a stall for fruits to make, perhaps in a pie or something called a tart, when she noticed a large figure standing beside her.

"Oh my! You're so tall!"

She spoke, before quickly covering her mouth. She'd never met someone of his height and was caught off guard. "I'm so sorry, sir! I did not mean to be rude!!" she bowed her head ever so slightly hoping he was not offended by the outburst.

「𝔟𝔞𝔫𝔤 𝔟𝔞𝔫𝔤!」- The store was small and crowded and he was here on a mission to find some essentials for the kitchen. He had been cooking more than ever now that he had a consistent kitchen to use. Those few meals he'd made back home had become staples. Things that he knew how to make and could make well. Things that reminded him of home in a land built on foreign ground in so many ways. However, there were still kitchen items that he had yet to acquire, ones that might be of slightly more use to his roommate.

Vash was perusing oven mitts for a set that the other man he was housed might like (he was partial to green, it seemed). He picked up a pair of forest green oven mittens and turned. Only to smack right into someone.

"Ah, man, sorry 'bout that…" Then he looked up at the person he had bumped into and his face paled just slightly. Vash was already quite tall at 6'4", but this man wasn't just tall. He was big. It almost reminded him of the brief glimpses he'd gotten of the Nebraska family or the leader of the Bad Lads Gang, B.D.N. (Brilliant Dynamites Neon).

The gunslinger held the oven mitts tighter in his hands.

Although he really didn't think much in terms of whether or not he could slip by the man, he certainly didn't want any trouble. In fact, it'd be very much favorable if he the guy ignored him all together.

He managed a slight smile, "Hey there, friend, I really am sorry about that."

Deidara's seen some weird shit before, both here and back home. Hard to face down the Sanbi and the Kazekage and then look at anything else as a huge threat. Even after dying fighting Sasuke.

So this guy, for all the cold dread pouring off of him, seems like nothing more then a big shadowy weirdo. He's felt Killing Intent before now of course, though perhaps not as odd as this. It feels different, more just dread rather then actually Killing Intent. This place had no end to strange people.

Kind of reminded him of Leader-sama when they had their meetings in that shadowy place with the statue.

"Oh hey, un. Granted I can't really see, but I feel like you're staring, yeah. Need something or just... staring to stare, un?"

"Happy new years..." hold his hand over his mouth as if holding back a gag. "Steven."

"Happy New Years, Nightmare Knight! You can call me Pick you know, if its easier."
