my all-time ultimate fave character:

Seiichi Kugi there is a reason that bastard is my profile pic virtually almost everywhere.

a character I didn’t used to like but now do:

Lihuang Ei. I do not know how did that happen but it did.

a character I used to like but now don’t:

I love all the named players tbh. Not a huge cast, and I love every single one of them.

a character I’m indifferent about:

Absolutely no one, because I would want to know all the things about everyone.

a character who deserved better:

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM, alright you don’t know this fandom so I’m just telling you that nobody went on the nameless island in the center of Etsusa Bridge for happy reasons okay, every single one of those characters deserved better.

Maybe except for Ginga. Maybe. But I even like him, so like. But he didn’t deserve better.

a ship I’ve never been able to get into:

Listen Narita. Stop hinting Seiichi/Yili, you are usually good at romantic stories, and I ship basically everything you made canon in your other series’, but even if you would ever write more EB (HAHAHA), and you’d make them canon, you won’t be able to jam that ship down my throat. There’s just too much baggage there, and they work much better as friends and partners. Let them scheme together again, but don’t make them kiss.

a ship I’ve never been able to get over:

Hayato Inui and Seiichi Kugi, like. C’mon, Narita. C’mon. The parallels, the mirror motifs, every single one of their interactions are absolute goldmines. The way their dynamic changes from their first interaction to their last, oh my god. Narita pls, let them kiss.

a cute, low-key ship:

The only thing I ship and that I did not even hint at in my writings really, not even as background pairing is Nejiro and Yua. C’mon. We had all thought of it. Mostly for the sheer cuteness of it.

an unpopular ship but I still enjoyed it:

wHAT THE FUCK COUNTS AS UNPOPULAR. Not only this is a rarefandom, I write content for ships with characters who don’t even really interact “onscreen”, like, there is no hope for me.

a ship that was totally wrong and never should have happened:

Nah, I can’t think of anything. Not a fan of Sherlock’s crush on Charlotte, but not like that will go anywhere, not even if Narita would write EB again (HAHAHAH). I mean if someone, Charlotte is more likely to end up with Lihuang in canon, and while definitely not my preferred ship, I don’t hate it either.

my favourite storyline/moment:

God, Bow Wow. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: all the Narita novels and stories i had read and known, Bow Wow is probably one of my all-time favourites. Everything about Bow Wow is great, how it estabilishes the setting of the entire series, the characters, the mystery, and holy shit those twists in it. Narita in general good at setting up twists and punching you in the stomach, and Bow Wow is one of his best at it.

And for favourite moment, it has to be the confrontation between Inui and Kugi at the end of Bow Wow, exactly because that’s exactly the point where /everything/ comes to a head there. The action, the dialogue, the reveals, the entire thing is fucking amazing. I would sell my soul to see it animated and that’s not a lie. Like even if I’d compile my favourite Narita moments, that confrontation would still be very high on the list, that’s how much I love it.

a storyline that never should have been written:

The afterword for 5656!, because that promised a second half. IN 2008. AND THE SECOND HALF STILL DIDN’T HAPPEN.

my first thoughts on the show:

God while I was entertained for most of Bow Wow, I wasn’t like completely invested until the end of that book. AFTER THAT POINT, THOUGH.

Also most of my first thoughts consisted of “Hayato Inui What The Fuck Are You Doing”.

my thoughts now:

I love this series. More people should know this series. If it would ever get an anime adaptation I’d probably cry and die. Then come back to life to cry again.

I love it, I just love it so damn much, and it breaks my heart that I’ll probably never get new content about it.

But no, I still don’t know what the fuck is Hayato Inui doing. I’d say “his best” but I feel like it’s not accurate.

A character I didn’t used to like but now do: As much as I loathe to admit... there was a time when I didn’t like Djura... because I was mad that he wouldn’t stop shooting me... and I didn’t know there was a way to become his friend................................. Also Annalise, maybe... I Did Not Trust Her at first, but she’s cool

A character I used to like but now don’t: Can you believe there was actually a time when I thought Gehrman was a perfectly reasonable and trustworthy guy? Me neither.

A character I’m indifferent about: Hmmm... Yharnam, I guess...? I’d say maybe Alfred, but I do still kinda like Alfred, so I’m not quite sure-- I don’t think I’d care nearly as much about Micolash as I do if he weren’t the local meme

A character who deserved better: Did you mean: everyone?

A ship I’ve never been able to get into: I wouldn’t say it’s a very... shippy fandom...? (From what I’ve seen, anyway) And I’m not much into ships these days, so there aren’t any I’ve really tried to get into? Ludwig and Laurence, I guess. I got nothing for it, and nothing against it. //shrugs A ship I’ve never been able to get over: Well there’s always the Tragic Tale of Viola and Gascoigne isN’T THAT FUN ................ idk if that counts. I’ve not been able to get over how sad it is and how happy it was before............................................. Going into the DLC for the first time, and feeling like you’d pretty much traveled into the past, seeing all that Sweet History and Lore about the old hunters and the church first hand, was absolutely awesome.

A storyline that never should have been written: LET SIMON LIVE, FROMSOFT, HE WAS MY ONLY FRIEND IN THE DLC Also there should be the opportunity to meet and save both Yamamura and Henryk, that’d be great--

My first thoughts on the show game: ”Oh, I’ve heard a lot of good things about this game. I do want to get either an Xbox One or PS4, but I think I’ll go with PS4 so I can try this out. I’ve never tried a Souls-style game before, and I want to give it a go and see if it’s as difficult as everyone says it is.” My thoughts now: Thank you, From Software, I love you and also hate you for everything.
