Ok so I finally ended up drawing that Mary Shadowstaff AU

I’ll probably draw more ngl I’m getting a little invested

So guys!! Back at it again with me being on crack

I mentioned in another post that I had a peculiar dream about these two and now I want to yap more or something

So in the dream Jim still had a crush on Claire and everything. Mary was a bit more involved with things off the bat though. She was also part of the play Romeo and Juliet (I think she was Lady Capulet), and she didn’t really like Jim cause he was acting like, you know, a flake

She would go to him and be like “you better take this seriously because Claire really does care about the play”

Jim still writes a letter to Claire before his fight with Draal but Mary sees him put it in her backpack and being the nosy little rat (/pos) that she is she reads it

When NotEnrique fights the goblins or whatever the heck in episode 12 and like some picture is left at the scene of the crime, instead of it being a picture with Claire it’s a picture of Mary that she insisted Claire hang in the room because she’s like obsessed with herself or something. My point is the goblins go after Mary and Jim has to save her

Mary basically takes Claire’s place on the team and as her and Jim bond they develop feelings for each other

This is NO diss to Claire. I don’t know WHY I had the dream, but I feel like this is the kind of relationship dynamic I would have preferred. Instead of nailing your crush, you get some other person that you didn’t exactly care for before but now you really do like them.

Anyway uh the AU is latched on my brain and now I’m really into it? Idk guys

What do yall think would be a good ship name for them anyway? Marjim? 😭
