Az is SO Incrdibly sensitive to touch. Any brief brush of hands feels like it is weighted and lingers for HOURS after. Any unexpected clap on the shoulder has his instincts racing to save him, to fight and flee. He's almost never bested in battle because of it.

So when hes finally comfortable enough with his partner to share a bed with them, hes doing ALL the touching at first. Playing with their hair, tracing their skin, all of it. Its not until months and months later and a lot of trust building that he finally brings their palm to the back of his scalp in a tender moment in bed. And after so many rejected attempts, to return the favor, the partner understands. And tries not to tear up or make Az nervous about it. And they're gentle and tender as possible and a silent tear rolls down Azs cheek as he tries his damndest not to cry. My touch starved bat boy.
