The purple haze rolled in, consuming the fire of the candles. The mist formed a sorrowful murk that even shadowed the moonlight. The sky had disappeared, disguised as a nightmare.

The reaper was an empty silhouette standing elegantly with two spears. Arms slightly stretched aside like the wings of a hawk. He blocked Reine’s path. 

The mist disguised his face into a featureless shadow. 

But there was only one word that rolled absently from his lips. The reaper still bore Diarmuid’s burden and obsession.

‘Master’.

‘Is that you? I barely recognize you in one piece”

I removed the color layers of ponka from that previous image I made (except for the eyes and brows). Now it looks like a ghost ponka, or a covered in flour ponka. This is just the shadow and shine layers (white bg doesn’t help in showing shine) plus the aforementioned eye layers. I’m posting this because it looks cool. That is all.

Many years ago, when I was falling in love with a woman who lived halfway across the country from me through the medium of the internet and unlimited cell phone minutes after 9pm, as I was making a second mixtape–a three-disc thematically grouped compilation–for my future ex-long-term-girlfriend, I had to listen to this live recording and the original studio version of the song several times through before I could decide which was better, finally ending on the studio version for no other reason than it was a couple of minutes shorter, a restriction that does not apply now, at a time when you all also need to hear "Lake Marie" (as I assure you you do), freeing me to balance an earlier procrustean decision by sharing with you what I believe to be the finest live recording of this John Prine song.

Just venting/being a bitch.

There are these two particular “photographers” that come up on my dash every once in a while that literally just make me sick to my stomach. Not because I don’t understand or appreciate what they’re trying to express, but because they don’t seem to have an understand of basic composition or lighting and don’t seem to make an effort in bringing their full vision to light. It literally feels like people reblog/praise these photographers just to be noticed by a very specific tumblr clique. I guess I just see too many other similar photographers with actual skill being ignored and it bothers me. Bleh.
