Me, making a nephil oc to match my cambion oc and giving them equal but opposite powers and visual designs but being very good friends and very similar people: "It's like poetry. It rhymes."
#mainly black vs mainly white#both immigrant stories#shadows vs light#red flame vs blue flame#blonde vs ginger#cat vs dog#eyes that become void vs eyes that project light#unfathomable darkness vs unnerving light#a demonic child with angel names vs an angelic child with demon names#they're best friends your honor#they're both 27#great relationships with both their parents actually#both protectors in their own ways#the nephil has to groom his wings sometimes#he gives loose feathers to the cambion because the cat likes to play with them#the cambion will in turn sneak dog treats from work to give to the nephil's dog#they're inverse mirrors of each other#i love them#the nephil is fairly new#but the cambion is one of my oldest OCs#and has undergone the least renovation over the years#i just made his mom not evil#and actually a wonderful caring person who had to leave for a few years for safety reasons but then came back#the nephil's dad loves him and is a bit of a worry wart but he cares a lot and keeps an eye on him#both their human parents are also loved and adore the nonhuman parents in return#it's really good okay#it's my magical realism fantasy world and I'll subvert or layer the tropes however i please
