Shajing Town

Shajing Town (沙井镇), Baoan district, Shenzhen. Shanjing town has a total area of 60 km², total population 1,300,000 (of which permanent population 33,000). It is the “home of oyster” (蚝乡). It is also a seafood producing town with 200,000 acres of seafood farms. The native people speak Cantonese. Famous attractions include the Tsang’s Ancestral Hall, Waterlands Resort.
