W cenie materiały: papier, bazy do…

I uploaded this video to show the comparison between a small plastic box and a large tin shaker. At this stage I almost think I prefer the sound that the large tin makes just because the sound carries a lot further than the plastic and the space in the tin gives the objects inside more space to scratch along the surface rather than just hit a sides of the walls. And I think the scratching is the most effective sound that this particular box produces.
In this video it shows my shaker box. Made using a contact mic plastic container and nails and screws in the box to create the scratching noise as I shake.
I think at this stage I Prefer the sounds the box creates when I only use slight movements. The slight movements create a sound that don’t resonate with a ‘shaker’ and I want to steer away from that sound as much as I can or distort and enhance that shaker sound.
To improve on this design I think I will have to find a way to secure the contact mic onto the lid of the container (maybe with hot glue) because at the moment it is just taped and I need it to be more stable. Another aspect that needs improving/experimenting with will be the content that goes within the box. At the moment i have just used nails but i want to try marbles or rounded objects and perhaps also =try the same method but within a tin box.
At this stage I like the sound that the contact mic produces but i want a more distorted sound. I think the speakers in this video is not going to work for me in final performances. I will look into using and experimenting with an amp, playing with feed back from the mic and distortion. This way the sounds I already like will become more intensified and towards the more fuller distorted sound I was originally looking for.
Handmade Sitka spruce box.
I've been making these boxes for a couple of years now. I make them using only traditional tools and techniques and they are influenced by the style and techniques of both European and Japanese traditional wooden boxes. I use them mostly as a bento style lunch box but they are also ideal for general storage. They are great for storing dry foods like rice or flour, your favourite Puerh tea, pottery tools, tea utensils or jewellery.
you can read more about the process involved in making the boxes here: http://wintercroft.co.uk/
i also have a couple for sale through my Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Wintercroft?ref=si_shop
