The cares of Coronavirus has many of you going to the liquor store often, sometimes daily. Studies have shown a major increase in liquor purchases skyrocket since ‘Rona’s debut.

On the flip side, it has us spending more time in front of the television. This isn’t a “norm” for me, in fact, I actually hate tv. As a socialite, very rarely am I home. I’ve indulged in so much tv, I’ve taken a renewed liking for the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Yes, it seems I’ve missed the bickering, fashions, and glamorous lifestyles of middle-aged women. In a season 11 episode where newly introduced cast member; Shamari DeVoe pukes in NeNe Leakes restroom. Not only did she puke, but she puked all over Eva. Fast forward to Eva’s wedding, Shamari apologized to NeNe for puking everywhere, but also replaced her bottle of St. Germain.

I hadn’t heard of St. Germain until this episode, but if that’s what NeNe drinks, and it had Shamari LIT like that- I definitely wanted parts! I purchased a bottle for a whopping $35. 😳 I made it home and on another episode, NeNe is at a restaurant and requests St. Germain and Grapefruit. Great. Now, I have to get some juice to mix this. St. Germain is a liqueur out of France, made from the elderflower, with a taste of tropical fruits. It pairs well with champagne, solid spirits, and of course, grapefruit juice.

Have some fun during quarantine. Make a cocktail. ✨

The St. Germain site has a few cocktails that feature the fine liqueur. My favorite is The St. Germain Royale:

Top up with Champagne

Build in a flute with chilled champagne. Use a strawberry to garnish.
