Salazar x Shansa
I'm wondering about these two.
They both dealt with powerful dark magic.
Meeting them both was a death sentence for Barbossa.
But notice this detail: during the meeting with Barbossa, Shansa told him he would pay, but told him not to meet with the dead—to establish a farm in the countryside.
Besides... she was expecting Barbossa.
She didn't warn him in a dream or anything not to come. But she did warn him about Salazar.
She didn't have to; besides, Barbossa was already doomed.
Yes, the debt of gratitude demanded help.
But...
She didn't take money, no.
And look, she warned about Salazar, not herself.
Yes, a predator doesn't warn about himself, but also wouldn't warn the victim about other dangers.
And a lion wouldn't warn about a little kitten. Quite the opposite.
And that makes you wonder.
And, as we've seen, she knew Salazar's situation. So she was up to date. She was watching him, watching his every move.
Dark magic could have allowed them to learn about each other.(Salazar has already used it earlier)
And Shansa helped both Barbossa and Scarfield.
Okay, maybe a little forced.
But... she basically knew she was helping people who would die anyway.
She knew what Salazar was like.
You already know Barbossa's behavior around Salazar from the previous post.
But let's compare it to Shansa.
Barbossa wanted to, he wasn't afraid to go to her; you can see it in his gait. He started the conversation by reminding her that he had saved her, as if to start from a safe position, but notice that she immediately knew he had come out of fear, because Salazar was in charge now.
Barbossa tucked his tail between his legs and asked for help.
Meeting Shansa was madness. Meeting Salazar signaled to everyone that you'd lost your mind.
Meanwhile, back at Salazar, he's talking about friendship. A similar beginning to Shansa. As if he knew how to try to gain the favor of dark magic creatures.
But it didn't work there. Not at all. I analyzed it recently.
Look: Shansa told him to abandon the treasures and live in the safest place possible.
He was outraged.
Meanwhile, later, when he stood next to Salazar, acting tough, like he and Scarfield did with Shansa, was useless. He was absolutely terrified and broken, thinking nothing of the treasures, yet obeying Salazar. Literally.
So... he'd basically abandoned thoughts of treasure. But it was too late for a country cottage.
And here, you could see that the witch was aware of her opponent's importance.
If you look closely, you can theoretically see that respect in her. She knows.
But others don't.
And she knew it would be too late when they found out.
Perhaps that's why she helped Scarfield and Barbossa. She could have lied. They wouldn't have been able to verify it. She could have threatened, set conditions. But no, she helped them.
Some quite ordinary mortals.
As if... she'd let a curious child pick up a snake.
Kind of:
"If they want it, let them have it. They have no idea what they're up against. They won't live to see another week. But let them try their hand at it. (None at all)"
See? It seems like a certain respect for Salazar and knowledge of him.
So Salazar was a much, much more powerful opponent than Shansa, and she knew it.
Even outside the triangle, where he wasn't as powerful as he was inside.
Barbossa got himself into a boiling pot. He entered a cell with one danger... and there he already signed a death sentence.
He was given a warning.
And faced an even worse danger.
Thus, he sealed his fate.
A deliberate, willing encounter with Shansa and Salazar means a death sentence.
But judging by Shansa's behavior, and then Barbossa's, and Scarfield's, Salazar was much, much worse.
Scarfield refused to let the witch intimidate him.
She could have killed him.
He was stubborn, like Barbossa.
She handed him over to a worse predator.
They didn't know what they were up against.
Shansa knew.
The entire sea ran red with blood.

Happy Birthday for my great and lovely friend @thenamedoesnotmattertome !
Elk and Shansa make Elkansa?
Don't know about the shade but feel free to offer your own thoughts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
(I usually do a cursory skim of character info + use prior info I know to make fusions and I don't know much about Shansa)

Could you draw Shansa and Fouilli? Shansa came to visit again, make Fouilli feel good!
Fouilli : “Stop patting me ! It’s too embarrassing, Shansa…”
But Fouilli is still happy to see Shansa coming visit him. He does not understand why people started to care about him. After all, he doesn’t do a thing, except being here. There are so much talented members in the troupe and he never tried to interact with them, affraid to bother. It seems like he totally forgot how to interact with others, except the voices in his head (you). He will do some effort to stop being the shy ant in front of other bugs. A least, he will try.
It takes me approximately 1 hour to finish this drawing. For a 1 hour-challenge piece, I am pretty proud. I only used 2 or 3 colors and played with layers. We can see that I really like light particules. Please, forgot the background…

Hello Rosalina! Do you have any hobbies, to relax? Having a break from time to time is important. Also, you seem like a person my Shansa would have a lot of respect to. Even, if she would be a bit scared of you. I wish you a nice day Rosalina!
