It's actually really fascinating how we humans - with our brains that trains its entire life to become a shape-recognition-master - decided that the sounds (combinations) we make,
can be represented with certain shapes (combinations) and thus overbring messages to other humans that are not in range for our sounds.
And so, it's fascinating how we become really confused when our shape combinations suddenly don't make sense anymore, because our brain suddenly recognizes the individual shapes within the shape combo.

You ever stare at a word too long and now it doesn't look like a word anymore? Yeah, that's because you see the individual letters and not "the word".
At least that's my theory. A word theory!
So that’s why my polygon detection by area didn’t work. The polygon points aren’t sorted correctly. What that function is supposed to do is go from one point in the list to the next and draw lines between them. If the points were in the correct order, the green and blue lines would outline the white building blobs.
I tried to sort them based on their angle from the center point, but that obviously won’t work for very convex polygons like #1 up there. Its center point is outside the polygon itself. It skips around, so the area calculation will not work properly, and neither will my future turning function.
I need to think of a better way to sort the points to make sure they’re in order from the get-go, then I should be solid on IDing the buildings!
