I am late to the party

I finally watched Thor: Ragnarok, and while I enjoyed it, I'm just gonna make two little changes. --------------------------------------------- SPOILER ALERT --------------------------------------------- Valkyrie: You guys have a beast? Thor: *deflects* Loki: *shapeshifts into Hulk, ripping himself free of the chains* Valkyrie, Bruce: *gawk in amazement* Thor: *dismayed* Loki: *shapeshifts back* Valkyrie: Could you have done that at any time? Loki: Yes. Bruce: Do you still want to kill us? Loki: Not right now. --------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------- Bruce is fighting the Asgardian wolf, and they fall over the waterfall. Loki feels a strange tug that only goes off when he's near blood relatives, similar to a Vulcan bond. He leaves a mirror image behind to steer the ship (not an astral projection, but like a legit clone of himself), and Loki teleports off the ship to the bond. Loki grabs Hulk from the cliffside just as a long-necked creature grabs the wolf. Hulk is weakened when Loki materializes them on the far side of the bridge. Hulk: What happen to giant dog? Loki: Jor has him. Hulk: Who Jor? Loki: My son. Hulk: Puny god has son? Loki: *nods* Hulk: Hulk dying. Loki: No, he's not. *performs healing magic to help Hulk, reducing him to Bruce* Bruce: What did you--- did you heal me? Loki: *magics Stark's clothes back to not-shredded* Yes. Now, then, I need to fight my sister. Fenris will watch over you. Bruce: Who is- *gets cut off by the large wolf clambering onto the bridge, shielding Bruce and Loki* *Loki pats the dog on the snout* Loki: Another son. *disappears*

It all started with a hiccup

Summary:

Mobius realizes in an incongruous way that Loki never transforms into an animal in front of him... but now that he has opened the Pandora's box, will he regret it?

That morning, Mobius was awakened from his sleep by a slight jolt against his chest. It only took him a few seconds to realize that it was Loki who had the hiccups.  He had hiccups while he was sleeping. Mobius knew it was possible, but he had never witnessed it. Loki was sleeping with his head on his chest and Mobius' arm around his shoulders.

He hiccupped again and Mobius rubbed his hand along Loki's arm a few times to try to soothe him when all of a sudden the hiccups got louder and out of nowhere Mobius found himself with his arm in the air.

He blinked several times, not being able to believe what he was seeing.

On his chest before him was a snake.

A snake with shimmering colors and especially with eyes of a green that he would recognize the shade of anywhere.

"Loki?"

Mobius knew of this ability of Loki's, but at that moment he realized that he had never seen his lover use it before him.

He watched him in silence for a few seconds, admiring the way the dim morning light reflected on the iridescent skin.

The snake crawled a little to be closer to Mobius' face and the feeling of the snake's body sliding against him, made him shiver.

"Mobiussss..."

The sound made him shiver even more. He did not expect his body to react this way. His name, pronounced in this way by Loki in his snake form, had something extremely sensual. He could not hold back from blushing at the thought that he had just had and Loki of course noticed it. So he repeated, bringing his head closer to his lover's ear, "Mobiusssss, Mobiusssss."

Mobius could not hold back the shivers that ran through his body.

"Loki, stop playing that game right now!"

Loki resumed his place on his chest, emitting small whistles that strongly resembled small giggles.

Mobius said in a slightly sulky tone, "One thing is for sure, whatever form you're in, you're still just as mischievous."

Loki let out another little hiss that sounded like a laugh.

Mobius moved a tentative hand toward the snake.

He coughed and asked, a little hesitantly, "Loki, may I... may I touch you? "

Mobius felt the snake freeze on its belly for a moment before it relaxed and Loki replied, "Yessss."

Mobius gently moved his hand forward and touched the snake with his fingertips in a delicate manner. He was pleasantly surprised by the soft, warm texture under his fingers. He opened his hand and passed it in a light brush along Loki's body. As he saw the snake flinch, he realized with satisfaction that this time it was Loki who was overcome with a shiver.

"Mobiusssss! Ssssstop, that ticklesssss."

Mobius chuckled softly and asked, "Really?"

He did the same caress again and saw with pleasure Loki squirming on top of him.

"Mobiussss!"

Mobius stopped and ran a light finger under the snake's chin and said with a mischievous glint in his eye, "That way we're even sssssweetheart."

Before he knew Loki, Mobius would never have known that snakes could sulk, and yet it was exactly the same little sulky pout that Loki sometimes had that he could see on the little snake's head.

The snake gathered itself on Mobius' chest and stuck out its tongue as if it were offended.

However, Mobius became serious again, because he had a question that had been nagging at him ever since Loki had turned into a snake. He asked, "Do you often transform like that, I mean in your sleep?"

"No. I think it's because I haven't transformed in a long time."

Mobius looked surprised, "What do you mean by that?"

"Wait."

The snake stopped moving for a moment and transformed into its original form in front of Mobius' eyes, who soon found himself with the familiar shape of Loki's body in his arms.

"I wanted to tell you this in this form without the ssssss that punctuate my words," Loki continued with a smile, "I actually haven't transformed in a long time because I didn't want to scare you or... gross you out."

Mobius shook his head and gently ran his hand through Loki's hair and replied, "Loki, when I say I love you in all your forms, it's not a thought, it's really all your forms, human, divine, and even animal. I know that you still find it hard to believe me or perhaps to accept it.

He kissed her gently before continuing, "But let's take advantage of this ability you have to try to convince you. I have an idea."

"Which one?" asked Loki, curious.

Mobius answered with a question, "Do you trust me Loki?"

Loki answered without even thinking or hesitating, "I will trust you with my life Mobius!"

Mobius smiled, "Very well."

He placed a kiss on Loki's forehead, stepped back and continued, "Take a good look at my face and expression now. You know I'm incapable of pretending."

Loki nodded and stared at him for a few seconds.

Mobius said to him, "Now please turn into a snake."

Loki, surprised, obeyed however.

When he had turned into a snake, Mobius gently took him in his hands and brought him to his lips. He kissed his head in the same way he had kissed his forehead just before, then he pulled back and said to Loki, "Now look at my face and my expression, do you see any difference, anything that might make you think I'm disgusted or afraid of you?"

Loki only looked at him for a few seconds before he transformed again and captured Mobius' lips in a passionate kiss.

When he pulled back, breathless, he said softly, "Why do you always say what I want to hear?" He didn't let Mobius continue and taking his face in his hands he said, "Every time I think I can't love you more, you do or say something to prove to me that this is not the case."

He kissed Mobius again, this time more gently and taking his time to pour into the kiss everything he felt at that moment for Mobius.

"Sweetheart," Mobius told him gently as they broke apart to catch their breath, "Please then don't restrain yourself, don't stop yourself from doing something or being something because you think I won't like it or for some other reason. Talk to me if you don't know, but don't be anything other than yourself because you think I expect you to be this way or that way. I want everything from this Loki, show me everything, sweetheart

He kissed the tip of Loki’s nose then continued, "But..." he paused as he looked at him with a mischievous smile on his lips, "I admit I prefer this form, because I can feel your fingers and lips on me."

Laughing, Loki still in his human form crawled over and when he had his mouth at Mobius' ear, he whispered, "Mobiussss... I too prefer to have my handssss and lipssss on you."

And over the next hour, amidst Loki's hissing, Mobius was able to verify just how true that was. _________

If asked, Thor would readily and confidently inform anyone that he and Loki had come a significantly long way since their falling out, and subsequent reunion following the final battle for Asgard...

That being said, nothing could have quite prepared him for the sight of Loki sat on the floor directly in the middle of the kitchen, knees drawn to his chest and face hidden entirely behind his firmly crossed arms.

(Epilogue to i couldn't change (though i wanted to);. Alternatively; Loki shifts for the first time in months, following a particularly debilitating bout of panic, and Thor is left with little option but to simply let Loki know that he's there for him.

Luckily, he does not have to do so alone).
