Shared space? (or nah)
oh my gosh! thank you for reminding me that I made that au and everything. life was hectic and I forgot about it, but here, i have something written up now!
If there was one thing that was a constant, it was that Xisuma was a derp. The biggest derp of the whole server. It really was a wonder how he became the admin of the whole place. I mean, he couldn’t even remember to keep the ban list constant from season to season. Something Evil Xisuma was very happy about.
From what he could tell, this server was getting closer and closer to its end, so there wasn’t really a point in destroying this server. But if he set up and got ahead on destroying the next one, that would go well. So EX had a vague plan of what he would be doing and which hermits he might be going after. Possibly ones that hadn’t been as active with the others so it would take longer for anyone to notice something was wrong and maybe just assume they had changed up on their own.
There were a number of hermits that fit the bill when EX hacked into all of their stats, but he also narrowed it down based on what he knew of the hermits themselves. And finally he settled on… what was his name again? Whatever the slime one was called. And it was mainly because of them being a slime hybrid that would help in the long run.
It was tough setting up a good place for the trap. The hermit was living in the ocean and his trap did not go well with water. That being said, with a few small bits of hacking here and there, EX could pull some strings and it wouldn’t even matter where the pit was. Now he just needed to dig it up and make sure it was lined properly so as to not let it spread like that stuff he had heard about from their fifth season.
Now, everything should have gone well. There was no reason for any hermit to be looking around for him. Maybe his Xisuma had noticed something was off, but why would that derp notice anything at all? But somehow, Evil found himself being grabbed by the shoulder and forcefully turned around by someone who was distinctly not Xisuma. “You.”
“Why yes, it is me.” EX replied, looking over to… well it was that netherborn or whatever. “I’m sure you’re surprised to see me.”
“Not too much. Make sense you’re behind all this.”
“Oh I hardly think finding my way back into the server counts as ‘all this’” EX said as he and the Hermit slowly circled around the pit.
“You didn’t just show up on the server and we both know that.” The hermit nearly growled at EX, and instead of wanting to growl back, he was just amused. It was nice to see that the hermits weren’t as good as Xisuma might think.
“And what harm is there in what I’m doing? I’m just making a pit, that’s all. “And Evil gestured to the pit. Sure at this point it was lined, but to most people, likely even to the hermits, it would look like a normal pit lined with normal stone.
“A pit? A pi- is that what you’ve done with them?” The netherborn asked, piquing EX’s interests.
“Oh, have you lost something?” He asked in a teasing tone, making the hermit so mad, Evil could feel the heat radiating off of them.
“Don’t act so clueless! Xisuma is one thing, but everyone else is another!”
“They’re hermits, they live here. They don’t need another reason to gain my ire. Hurting you hurts Xisuma. Not much else to it.”
“Release them or else.”
“Release wh- wait a moment.” EX finally realized why it was that the hermit’s name had been on the tip of his tongue the whole time. “You’re one of tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber. Look, I haven’t done anything to him. He does all that all on his own.”
“Then explain why he’s missing.”
Evil stopped circling the pit. “Ze-Worm Man’s missing?”
Then the hermit stopped. “What? No, of course he’s not. I’m glad you wouldn’t target him. I’m talking about Xisuma. And the others you made disappear.”
“What do you mean Xisuma’s missing? He should be here! This is Hermitcraft! He runs the place! If he’s not here, what's the point in ruining it all?!”
“Are you saying You didn’t make Xisuma disappear?”
“No!”
“What about the others? Doc? Grian? Iskall? Mumbo? Ren? Even False and Etho?”
“Those… are names… And no! I didn’t do anything with any of them.” It was quiet for a few moments before EX crossed his arms. “Take me to where the rest of the hermits are. There’s no satisfaction in destroying the server if Xisuma isn’t here. And if I have to drag him back myself, so be it!”
