Hoping... Healing... Healthy... {On #SharingtheJoy, #SmallVictories and #WhatCarriesUsThrough Amongst the Struggle} Today was my first day back at the gym since being sick for what feels like forever. 🤒 🤦🏻‍♀️ My body was cautious getting into the workout... 😬 But once I started and got going- I felt so empowered... ... it was like I had never stopped! 🎉💪🙌 ... and I almost cried with joy- that I was able to workout without pain, without breathing difficulty, without crushing fatigue. It. Felt. So. Good. 😮 And 3 people have told me I look like I have lost weight... despite not making it to the gym during this crazy flare-up and my illness. My body was craving the movement! If it wasn’t for this wellness system and community I have been a part of- I don’t think any of what I just described would have been possible! ... I know, I know- I wouldn’t have believed me either- I was a skeptic too. Some of you may be sick of hearing about this- thinking that I’m trying to sell you on something... ... but my true intention is to share meaningful moments in this crazy and tumultuous journey I have been on with my health. Different things work for different people. And people may not be able to see the pain and struggle that goes on in my body on a daily basis- what I conquer to make it to work in the morning and to get through an average day. It’s not anyone’s fault- a lot of what I face is invisible and I bust my butt to stay positive! I have so much to be grateful for too! Many people carry loads much heavier than my own- I get that! But today... today was a victory. And if I can share just one iota of the joy or what I felt today with someone else who is struggling in any way- that makes sharing this post meaningful! If I can ease your struggle - just by being joyful when- that makes today even more meaningful. Jane is based in Skipton and has a wonderful Yarn Shop there and we are now lucky enough to be stocking her patterns! I’ll be showing you some over the next few days 😁. Buttons chosen and sewn onto the 2nd Leighton Jacket. This one is knitted in Knoll Mohair Tweed in Blueberry. Everyone has their favourite colour for baby. My mum used to knit mine & my sister's baby garments in red & navy during a time she says when only pale pink, pale blue & lemon were the only "baby colours" It's all personal & all colours are perfect for baby #sharingthejoy (at Purl &Jane)
