Question about your MerMic and MerMidnight AU

So, sharks do eat eels and it makes me wonder if Mic ever thought Midnight would eat him or if maybe Midnight gets like cuteness aggression and chomps on Mic sometimes? Like, she just bites his tail and whips him around 😭

For the mer!AU do you think Midnight ever playfully uses her siren voice on Hizashi? Or maybe on Aizawa when he's having a hard time sleeping? I know that man got crippling insomnia he'd probably need siren song as a prescription if they could bottle it. How does it work over all? Typical siren fashion, or do you picture it differently for Nemuri? Curious to see more about her in the AU! Absolutely adore seeing your art whenever you post!

Every siren has a different song, some have different powers to others, some can sing multiple. Nemuri's song basically puts her target into a trance-like state and makes them drowsy, so it does work as a kind of lullaby she can use on the boys.

This is different to her normal singing which is just used for communication. All mers can sing, only the sirens have proper Songs with effects.

Sirens are rare and there usually won't be more than one in a large area. Nemuri is the only one in her area of the North Pacific for around 500 miles. It's very unlikely for two sirens to ever meet. It's also not a genetic thing, her parents weren't sirens, it's just a thing that sort of manifests randomly when a mer is born.

#the only way he can cope with them both in the first place is the fact that Nemuri can't get in the lighthouse #her chaos is confined to outside #mermic au #eel!mic #shark!midnight #lighthouse keeper aizawa #he's just upset that hizashi is still taller than him with legs #Souter keeps trying to assassinate Hizashi by tripping him up and he's not even that great at walking in the first place #Nem keeps stealing his food #they have to borrow Aizawa's clothes so all 3 of them are dressed exactly the same #they insist on him taking them onto the mainland to explore #the people there are very confused to see 'weird Aizawa from the lighthouse' walking around with 2 friends #it's a real test of strength for Nem not to attack anyone #aizawa considers leaving them both in town and then sailing away back home and never seeing them again #but then he wakes up and everything is normal #as normal as life can be when your best friend is a 9ft long eel

Do Hizashi and Nemuri ever show Shouta their cave? What does the cave look like, I'm so curious now

After weeks of peer pressure, he finally gives in and invests in a wetsuit and diving gear.

The mouth of their cave is fully underwater and is the only entrance. It has an area inside just about big enough to swim a few laps in, but if you go through a gap at the back and go upwards, you come to this air pocket that has some rocky ground. This is where Nem and Hizashi store their treasures, and where Nemuri sleeps a lot of the time (underwater, she has to keep moving to be able to pushing water over her gills, but on land she can use her secondary, human-type lungs to breathe, so she can relax).

Hizashi is like a kid showing his friend his room when Aizawa visits. He's very houseproud. It was his place initially, and Nemuri moved in when they got together. They've put a lot of work into making it homely. There's lots of decorations and stalactites and stalagmites inside and little shiny things that glint in the light that comes in through the tiny opening at the top that lets the air through.

There's another little shallow pool of water at the back of the cave where they can curl up and sleep without drying out.
