Great shot of a Sandbar shark by @mbrfoto on a recent pelagic research dive! We are always on the lookout for new individuals with distinguishing markings to update our field ID catalog @oneoceansharks and if participants take photos of the left, right and top of the shark they can name the shark as well! Please email or text us your photos Matti and we will review them to see if this individual has been identified yet π€π½ ______________ #Repost @mbrfoto γ»γ»γ» I managed to get alot of photos of this particular Sandbar Shark, I believe it's a young female and she has a nice chomp mark just behind her dorsal fin, possibly a love bite from a male during mating. She turned up in quite a few of my shots, coming quite close at times, maybe she liked me π or maybe she was working on her position in the heirachy, trying to stay closer to the surface at the top of the column. Either way she is a gorgeous girl and hopefully she has lots of pups soon. π·@fujifilmx_au X-T2 16-55mm f2.8 @aquatech_imagingsolutions ATB X-T2 housing π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦ Follow @sharkconservation_australia . . . . #sharkconservationaustralia #sharks Stop #sharkfinning #sharkfishing #sandbarsharks #sharkfinsoup #sharklife #wildlifephotography #wildlife #naturephotography #underwaterphotography #aquatech #fujixaus #fujifilmx_au #fujifilmxt2 #vagabondphotographic #discoverocean #helpsavesharks #saveoursharks #seashepherd #hawaii #oahu #oceanskeepers #ourplanetdaily
