On July 28, 1945, after having delivering crucial components for the first operational atomic bomb to a naval base on the Pacific island of Tinian, the USS Indianapolis sailed to Guam without an escort. The next day she was struck by a Japanese torpedo on her starboard bow, sinking in just 12 minutes. Of the 1,196 men aboard, 900 made it into the water alive. Bu their ordeal was just beginning. There are also many other products like creams and makeup that we must be careful with! 4) Get Involved with Conservation Groups Find local conservation groups and aid them! 5) Education Is Power Learn as much as you can about sharks! This can help you avoid behaviors that can hurt them, and you can educate others to do the same!
