While I'm on my Old RPGs kick, here's Sharline from the PS2 launch title Evergrace~ Fromsoft's first 3rd person RPG adventure game and the strangest stepping stone between Kings Field and Demon Souls.

Evergrace is such a... peculiar game for me. Like, I'll be up front: I genuinely think the game is awful! And yet... I love Evergrace. Despite failing everything its attempting, as a whole it is fascinatingly enchanting! Like, genuinely, Evergrace is an experience, especially as a kid. Truly more than the sum of its parts in a way I cannot explain.

And also the english voice acting is genuinely amazing levels of bad lol. Poor Sharline sounds like they took a woman off the street and asked her to read lines off a napkin with no direction. Girl's never had an emotion in her life!

Turns out there were a few manga issues and a novelization over in Japan and recently, decades on, I actually got to read them! Thank you @taptroupe for translating this insanely obscure media about this game that time forgot. I had a blast~ and you mentioned in the novelization about paying you in Evergrace drawings so here you go! (though rather than a more detailed translation of the novel, what I'm most curious about is whether the monster card descriptions are different in japanese, since I know the english translation just made up names for everything! no pressure at all to do so, just something that's crossed my mind. Thank you again!)

Go play Evergrace! More people need to experience this game so I can know whether I'm insane or if the game actually is just that charming despite it all!
