My King Shastacan X Eclipsa Child! She’s 14 here in her day clothes. She dresses seriously and in white with black accents. She has her mother’s eyes and father’s hair. Her Cheek Emblems are Anarchy symbols and they clash with everything, her style, clothes, personality and she dislikes them. Her sister, Festivia, on the other hand, loves them and encourages Astrid to wear more red (and red adjacent). She gifts her sister with red clothes and ruby jewelry, things Astrid does, in fact, wear and incorporate into her outfits. (Her favorite being the red cufflinks she’s wearing) Astrid is Eclipsa’s first child and as such the oldest. Despite her exterior, she loves Festivia dearly. While she resents her mother and is indifferent to her father, or the memory of them at least. Though she may seem like a cold and indifferent heiress doing as she’s told, she actually harbors a large curiosity. It’s what gets her crystalized before she even turns 15.
I wrote a story too!

Does Astrid the Black Swan dive
Astrid Butterfly was born prematurely to Queen Eclipsa and her husband King Shastacan. Not long after her birth did Eclipsa disappear, off to her monster lover. When she is caught she agrees to go back if Globgor may go free. It’s found that she, once again, is pregnant. Eclipsa spends the next few months preparing a room for her half monster child, dismissing her eldest. Once again, Eclipsa gives birth prematurely. Once Meteora is born Eclipsa runs off, this time with her newborn child. This time when Eclipsa is found there is no bargaining. She puts herself in front of her lover and baby but is unable to save her baby. Eclipsa is crystallized and Meteora brought to King Shastacan.
Though all this Astrid is weak and small. Many didn’t think she would survive 24 hours, the first week, a month, a year. But she did. As King Shastacan and the Magical High Commission believed she would be a sickly and infit Queen they decided to swap Meteora with another baby. This baby would be healthy and Mewman. But instead of dying, Astrid thrived.
Maybe she couldn’t be strong but she could be smart. Maybe she couldn’t overpower but she could outmaneuver. She read and watched. She was indifferent and obedient, understanding what was needed when. She knew how to disappear for hours at a time, leaving no clues of whether she was there or not. Before he was imprisoned Globgor ate King Shastacan, leaving Astrid and Festivia with their great uncle Jushtin. Festivia was given the wand as a baby and it was taken from her when she was 7. It was given to Astrid when she, both really, became 14.
And that was when everything changed. With this power, she searched for information. It’s through this that she found out the truth about her mother. She knew her mother abandoned her for a monster. That she would rather be a monster’s lover than Astrid’s mother. But to learn that she also had a monster child, and worse, Festivia wasn’t her daughter. That even before that, the things she did didn’t seem so dark. She didn’t know where her other sister disappeared to or where Festivia came from, but she was crystallized before she could find out. Even as she was about to be imprisoned she pleaded that they don’t let Festivia believe it was her fault. Festivia didn’t need to believe Astrid abandoned her.
“Please, Don’t let Festivia know. Please... just let me disappear.”
