I love Rebecca! I've only seen the musical, though, but it's great. Have you seen the musical and, if so, how do you think it compares to the book?

i didnt know there was a musical! i know theres i think a couple movie adaptations i was planning to check out at some point, though i also heard the hitchcock movie changes a major plotpoint so idek. id def like to check out the musical adaptation tho if you know of a way to watch

"#as a dutch crepe lover this post is making me lose it" What. What's a Dutch crepe. I'm a Dutch and. We don't really have crepes? Or is it those, like, Pennsylvania Dutch people??? We just have pancakes. Am I missing out on some crucial Dutch culture only known to non-Dutch people.

Lmao I can’t claim to be an expert or anything, but I can say my great grandpa and grandma came from the Netherlands around WWII and my great grandma’s pancake recipe is the one I grew up on. We always called them pancakes when I was a kid, but most people haven’t the foggiest what I’m talking about unless I specify that they’re more crepe-like than traditional north american pancakes (i.e. not bimbo-ified lmao). They’re not quite crepes, but most people I’ve fed them to consider them to be closer to crepes than what their idea of a pancake is

This wikipedia article appears to be what I’m talking about (so you maybe call it Pannenkoek?) although we make them roughly plate-sized and only adorn with butter and syrup, like one would eat a pancake. I honestly hated north american pancakes growing up cause they’re always so thick and soggy lmao

haha WELL. It's a very rudimentary idea at the moment, but I think it'll be the next multi chapter I write after I finish Caffeine and Copperplate. I'm really just interested to explore what it would look like if Yuki was the cat and Kyo was the rat, what that would change about their upbringing, the way the Zodiac spirits would intersect with their personalities, and how it would affect their relationships with their families and the other members of the Zodiac. I don't have much beyond that at the moment. But I'm glad it sounds interesting! 💕
