Elmer is doing AWESOME! Take a look at that happy face 😍 There is no denying this boy is feeling much better. After a full five days of dewormer - he lost an extra 7 pounds of worms! (Okay, so we didn't really weigh them, but OMG at the worms.) And he's not done! He will need another round of dewormer before he's cured and whipworm free! In the meantime, he has a pal that has been making sure he has been well fed. She's been cooking him nice, warm, hearty meals as a little "extra" every day. He now LOVES his food bowl, and anyone that will offer him a snack. Thanks to all of his yummy dinners - he has gained around 8 pounds of body mass in a little under a week. The scales are only showing a 1 pound gain, but we can't forget all of the pounds of worms that had to come out after his first weigh-in. This is all great news, and huge gains in just 1 week. He isn't out of the woods yet. He still has a few other medical issues. Meet Fergus! Fergus came in just this morning. This poor guy has already gone through the ringer. We aren't sure, but believe him to be about 1 year old - we will have a better guess once we can examine him better. Fergus isn't feeling his best. He's going to need lots of groceries, but before that can happen - we need to get him on the mend with whatever medical issues he's having. We're headed to the vet today at 11:15 to get him checked out. Fergus didn't have any fleas or ticks, but his gums are very pale all the way down to the pads of his feet. If only this poor baby could talk.... Fergus could use your love, support, prayers, shares, and donations. It's going to take his little body a while to heal.
