Cognitive Functions: Si Te Fi Ne

Dominant Si: Si users are extremely grounded in the reality in front of them.  They focus on what already exists and prefer to deal with concrete realities and facts instead of hypotheticals or abstract theories. They often act based on their experiences in the past. (Kyouka was hesitant in joining the ADA even though she really wanted to, because she felt she could only kill based on her experiences in the past. hence her inclination towards present reality rather than possibilities).

Auxiliary Te:  Te is about taking objective facts and applying them to the external world. People with aux Te value efficiency, And will take decisions to effectively and quickly complete a given task (how she thought of causing a blackout in the building to deliver the documents to the judge, in her first agency job). Aux Te tend to be more cautious in nature, which we have seen many times to be the case with Kyouka.

Tertiary Fi: The tertiary Fi helps ISTJs have a strong sense of moral (Kyouka was extremely disturbed by the deaths that she caused, even though she didn't really have a choice at the time). Although considering her age and what she went through, the function still hasn't completely developed, making her moral compass somewhat unstable, hence she sometimes shows violent tendencies that would be unusual for a normal person.

Inferior Ne: Ne takes in information about the external world around them and uses it to form many different possibilities, it try to rapidly jump from one thought to another. This being Kyuoka's inferior function, she's not very good at using it. But the function does still exist, therefore kyouka, while not a pro at it, can still deal with unexpected situations (again, the way she handled her first ADA job, as well as the three way war).

Akutagawa Ryunosuke

ISTJ

Cognitive functions: Si Te Fi Ne

Dominant Si: Si users are extremely grounded in the reality in front of them.  They focus on what already exists and prefer to deal with concrete realities and facts instead of hypotheticals or abstract theories (the way he takes action based in facts he already knows). they also tend to be highly affected by the past (his past experiences with pm!Dazai).

Auxiliary Te:  Te users are primarily concerned with structuring and ordering the world around them in an efficient and logical way. they often feel the need to take charge and bark orders in order to force the environment or situation to the go they way it needs to go. (consider his general persona & how he orders atsushi around when they were fighting Fyodor’s rock ability user {season3 cannibalism virus}).

Tertiary Fi:  Fi notes how interactions with others make them feel. It gathers external data and translates it into reactions and emotions. Dominant Si  makes Fi less sensitive to external information. Tertiary Fi may be surprising when it comes out in full force, as sudden passionate or indignant objections may seem out of character for the user (Akutagawa is generally calm & composed but can show extreme intensity of emotion regarding things important to him, eg- Dazai).

Inferior Ne:  Ne takes in information about the external world around them and uses it to form many different possibilities, it try to rapidly jump from one thought to another, this is contrasted by Akutagawa’s grounded & orderly nature. But he is still adept at handling unforeseen situations; proving the presence of slightly underdeveloped Ne, hence making it the inferior function.

Chuuya Nakahara MBTI

ESFP

cognitive function: Se Fi Te Ni 

Reasons

Dominant Se: People with dominant function Se, tend being adventurous & like trying/ experiencing new things and are action oriented.

Auxiliary Fi: Very aware of their own emotions & always try to be true to themselves, due to which they may at times come off as too individualistic. Also prone to be dramatic.

Tertiary Te: In the dark era we saw a more punkish Chuuya who then grows (lol, that was purely accidental) into the 22 y/o fancy Chuuya. Tertiary function is generally not as developed in childhood (i.e. struggles with organising stuff) but matures over time with use. Te users tend to be rather blunt. when said person has Dominant Se or Fi, It leads to a perceiver personality type (i.e. sorta impulsive).

Inferior Ni: High Ni means a person will be good at predicting things & stuff, so obviously having that as inferior function means said person Won’t be very good at that stuff. they often show an appreciation for the abstract.

Atsushi Nakajima MBTI

ESFJ

cognitive functions: Fe Si Ne Ti

Fe Dom:  Fe notes how people feel about certain things and how they react to certain ideas. Fe users can sometimes be hesitant to speak out about their own feelings if they know they will conflict with the feelings of the majority. this seems like Atsushi to me, considering the number of times he pushed his feelings to the side (not suppress them) in favor of helping others first

Auxiliary Si:  Si users try to understand the environment based on prior knowledge and experience (Atsushi was highly affected by his past at multiple occasions).  Si tends to be realistic & sort of conservative with respect to the material world (he new he needed to steal from someone in order to survive).

Tertiary Ne:  Extroverted intuition sometimes entails identifying themes, signs, and associations in the universe that most would miss (he knew what was going on with Kyoka at the bombing incident when she pushed him in the end). Ne users  are generally perceived as open-minded (he didn’t judge Kyouka because she was a part of the mafia). these traits are very much present in him but they aren’t the most obvious ones, hence tertiary.

Inferior Ti:  Ti is about analyzing and categorizing one’s internal thoughts and logic. This function aims to comprehend personal thoughts through the use of a well-defined context, to reach accurate conclusions. Atsushi often seems confused in his own thoughts, and has made many impulsive decisions throughout the series that would not seem very logical. he is also an openmided person as discussed earlier, and hence leaves room for different opinions & possibilities instead of stopping on a concrete & overly precise solution. he is still good at thinking through things to achieve a logical resolution. Ti is present but still under-developed, hence inferior Ti.

Therefore I think Atsushi’s an ESFJ
