Ship kid September day #7
For day 7 I drew shayn!I like his design its unique and looks more like Cross than most of the other ship kiddos. Also sorry if the background is a little sloppy I was really busy today, but I hope you still like it!

Shyan-- The Luna Mansion
Everyone knew Ryan scares easy. Of course, Shane knew this better than anyone else. Shane stopped counting the number of times Ryan woke him up terrified out of his wits. The older man took it in stride and tried to calm Ryan as best he could.
This time was no different, though Ryan wasn’t waking him up.
*****
While investigating The Luna Mansion in New Mexico, there was a room with a rocking chair that was said to be haunted by Josefita Otero, a member of the family who owned the mansion. It’s said she was often seen walking the staircase or sitting in her rocker.
“I wanna sit in that chair,” Shane declared.
“Wha-why?”
“To see if she’ll come and push me out of it or something. It’ll be my two minutes and then you can sit on the chair or talk to it or whatever it is you’re feeling.” Shane took a seat in the rocking, his long legs sticking out right in front of him. He set it rocking.
“Alright. Fine.” Ryan left the room and closed the door, looking at his phone to time the two minutes.
Shane kept rocking in the chair, not a care in the world. “It’s a pretty comfy chair, actually.” Shane nodded at the camera. “Could use a cushion, but it’s not bad.” He paused a moment. “Hi, Josefita. I’m Shane. Uh...my buddy Ryan and I are trying to document the existence of ghosts. So if you’re here, if you can hear me, it’d be great if you could...do something.”
Nothing happened, nothing moved, and Shane wasn’t disappointed because he didn’t expect anything to happen. He never did. He even got up from the chair in case the spirit wanted to sit in her chair. Nothing.
Ryan opened the door. “Time’s up.”
“Alright. I think you’ll be okay. Nothing happened. Not even a whisper.”
Ryan nodded walked further into the room, trying not to let himself chicken out. If Shane could do it, then he could too. He shouldn’t be scared, right?
“Two minutes starting…” Shane waited a couple of seconds for the minute to roll over, “...now.” And he closed the door.
“Okay. Shane said nothing happened so I have nothing to worry about.” Ryan said to himself. “I’m not scared. It’s just a lady.”
“Just?” Came over the Obvulous.
“What the fuck?” Ryan nearly jumped out of his skin. “Is someone in here with me?” he asked slowly.
Shane stood outside the door, leaning against the wall by the doorpost with his arms crossed. “He’ll be fine. Absolutely zero things happened while I was in there,” he said to the camera.
“Are you Josefita?” Ryan asked. No response. “Do you know my name?”
“Shane.”
“Th-That’s my friend waiting for me in the hall.” Ryan couldn’t stop his voice from shaking a bit.
“You okay in there, Buddy?” Shane asked from the other side of the door.
“Someone’s talking about you.”
“That’s awesome!” Shane beamed.
Ryan let out a yell when someone or something laid a hand on his left shoulder. Knowing that wasn’t Ryan’s usual I-heard-the-wind scream, Shane didn’t waste a second before bursting into the room only to see Ryan crouched down, back to the door, and breathing fast.
“Ryan?” Shane crouched down in front of Ryan, his hands on the smaller man’s shoulders. “What happened, Little Guy?”
“Something fucking touched me and the chair started moving.” Ryan’s breathing was faster than normal and it made him a little hard to understand, but Shane had no trouble making out the words.
“You’re okay. I’m here. Let’s get you outta this room, okay?” Shane proposed. He moved slightly so he was next to Ryan and made sure to not let go of his friend for even a second. Wrapping his arm around the smaller guy, Shane lead him out of the room and down the hall a short way. He then sat the two of them on the floor and took one of Ryan’s hands, pressing it against his own chest. Ryan’s fingers instantly curled tightly into the fabric of Shane’s shirt.
“Try to match your breathing with mine, okay?” Shane prompted.
Shakily, Ryan nodded and tried to slow and deepen his breathing. Shane made sure to mentally count his breathing while whispering things to Ryan to keep him calm. Inhale for four seconds, hold for seven, and exhale slowly for eight.
Though it took a few minutes, Ryan was no longer hyperventilating and was able to breathe on his own. He didn’t show any signs of wanting to let go of Shane’s shirt.
“I’m gonna have to edit that out…” Ryan said through a wet, humourless laugh.
Shane shrugged. “Leave it in. Let the fan go a little wild.” That got a real laugh out of Ryan like he hoped it would. “Wanna get outta here? I’d say we have enough video and audio.”
Ryan thought for a moment before nodding. Shane could tell there was something else Ryan wanted to say but wasn’t. Shane turned off his Go-Pro, turned Ryan’s off, and leaned a little closer.
“What’s up, Little Guy?” Shane’s voice was gentle and hushed.
“I want cuddles before I start editing.”
Shane chortled. “We can arrange that. Let’s get you somewhere you don’t think is haunted, hm?”
Payment Sequel/Update
Hello! We are back with the sequel to Payment, Born Ties! Just before we get started there are a few housekeeping things to go over.
1. We are going to get this ch and the next out within quick succession, but there other wip's we want to finish (that we have on ao3) that we have not been paying attention to bc we were finishing payment, for example the prequel stony mafia au ppl have been asking about. That’s gonna be finished soon. After that is finished we will come back to this story with a couple more ch's and update you on when you can expect more content from this book
2. This one is kind of just a fun one. In the last few ch's of Payment in the author's notes we were putting theme songs for each ch, we were wondering if you guys were still interested in seeing that. Also we thought it would be fun for you guys to put song recommendations in the comments and then we would feature your recommendations in the next ch and eventually put the full playlist on tumblr like we did with payment. If that seems like something you would want to do sound off in the comments! (if anyone is interested the song for this ch is Can't Take Me from the animated movie Spirit, it's a weird choice I know, but you can't change my mind)
3. As with all out ch's we put out, more editing will come as time goes by
4. If there are wip’s I have out that you are curious about when the update will come, message me and I can give an answer to that :)
As always thank you to everyone who reads the things we put out, it’s very appreciated!
